My father (Owen Sullivan of Marian Park) went over to England with Johnny Giles to try out for a spot on the Leeds team. We have photos from his trip - he might have been 17 or so at the time. A good Baldoyle player. Also captain of the school boxing team - broke his thumbs and had to hoist the championship team trophy over his head anyway.
