I've been looking for this song for 25 years. It was used in a German Top 40 show called "Formel Eins" and I had no idea of its name or who did it. All I could remember was that hook part with the synth, no vocals. Great old skool tune! Thanks for posting!
Every so often I look this video up it's so damn awesome....even my 3yr old stop dancing to check out this guys moves. After it finishes, he says show it again.
it´s unbelievable..I remember watching formel 1 and then this vid...it was something that stay someones mind...I even remember the room, the atmosphere and the time (early summer)...fascinating how time passed and we all still stay the same...:)
AWESOME! I've been looking for this video for at least 20 years!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This was the beginning for my own breakdancing career! The guy in this vid later made his career as a rapper called mr. hollywood in Germany. Thanks for posting this!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He used to be an officer in the army stationed in Germany, so thats where the name Capt. Hollywood originated. Aprox age is 60 so yea, he's prob showing the g/kids how it was done! 🕺🏾
Michael Jackson used a lot of dance moves from the hip-hop community in his dance style. It's because of Michael Jackson probably more than any other single pop artist that the door was opened for hip-hop to become a global phenomenon.
why is this video always cut up...is Formel Eins the only source of that video out there ? was it recorded in Germany only? Hass any1 the original full video of that ?!
MJ started wearing the glove in the late 80s, I believe. Minister Farrakhan said it was because that's where his vitiligo first appeared. If you watch his video "Leave me alone" you can see he has some bandages on his right hand, before he started wearing the glove. I agree with you 100% that MJ adopted some of the b boy moves. That's what i was trying to say earlier. By adopting those b boy moves, the world was exposed to hip hop culture through MJ.
83 ? these styles were out b4 that year and on tv - hip hop wasnt gettin awards until after - they thought it was going to come n go - cant blame h.h. for that - he wasnt moon walkin as a kid - king of pop - not hip hop
I bought this album in 1983, and played it every day when i came home from school!! Damn, i wish i could go back in time, when shit was so simple!!
You and me both ,,love the 80s
Me too 😊❤

the smoothest breakin ive ever seen
Just checked the 83 Billie Jean performance and saw him wearing one white glove on his left hand. So maybe it was around that time.
Michael Jackson used a lot of dance moves from the hip-hop community in his dance style. It's because of Michael Jackson probably more than any other single pop artist that the door was opened for hip-hop to become a global phenomenon.
NOW WE KNOW where david elsewhere found his inspiration -
Usic muto bom
Did you notice that Captain Hollywood is wearing a single glove on his right hand throughout this vid? What's that about?
Was he doing some saccin at 00:33 with the foot shuffles?
Anyone know where to get this on DVD? I know Formel Eins has DVD's, but don't know if any include this.
where is the full version ? ;-)
That was in the 80s
Why not the FULL song?
This is what we used to do at lunch time in high school...

why is this video always cut up...is Formel Eins the only source of that video out there ?
