  • The True Talker OG brings it back to what got it all started back in the day with soft bodied deer calls. Not only does it produce mature buck grunts, young buck grunts, doe bleats and fawn bleats, but the OG also can produce the aggressive buck growl sound.

    “It’s a sound you can’t describe”...let me describe

no description or call is anything like a real buck growl. I'd describe it for ya if I could, I really would, but I know my description won't do it justice so I won't even go there. believe me, it's truly inimitable and indescribable

Hey Brad, thank you for the video. I just got my OG True Talker in the mail and the whole reed assembly had fallen out in the packaging. I have tried to figure it out but haven't been able to get it to back into the tube/produce any sound. Any advice?? Thanks again, Peter

Same thing happened to me. Took me a few tries to get it right. It’s removable so you can adjust the o-ring if you want to change the default pitch of the grunt. Put the reed (skinny side) slide it into the half moon shaped opening from the mouthpiece side. Once you have it correct, the reed should be about a half inch deep inside the tip of the mouth piece, with the reed opened towards you. Hopefully that made sense.

marvin lawson by far the best call I’ve used! I own a lot of them even the extinguisher that’s supposed to be some magic call. Nothing has worked as good as my original true talker!

I've had better luck turning the call over so I can use my thumb to press on the reed. Plus putting pressure before or after the designated spot to apply pressure. If I get good results, I'll post a review for the call.
