"I think you should tell the lads. At least your kid's still alive" One of the most poignant lines ever
Who says that to whom, and when?
@@BenBanjo87 Josie says it to Bayleaf when they get back from the house fire shout in the movie
@@richie2701 Thanks
Music in the TV shows of today just can’t compare. In fact they rarely have any music in them at all!
They have plenty. Too much. Trouble is, none of it is particularly memorable. Only Line of Duty has had some. The composer on that is great.
Rip John.. real tragedy
Rip Fireman Lewis from the pilot movie, Rip Roland aka Vaseline, and rip to Station officer Nick Georgiadis. I also miss Station officer Sidney Tate the best station officer ever and you cannot forget the station clown Leading hand Malcolm Cross.
And of course John Hallam like you said
these were so original and so hard not to feel down when these came on
Indeed they were, I was a bit sad at first when they changed the theme in 1998 but I got used to that one as well. Whats your favorite season of London's Burning? Mine is Series 11 which I know is a very unpopular opinion but i just loved the new characters introduced and the cinematography was beautiful compared to the previous seasons.
@@LicencetoWho mine is series series 5
@@LicencetoWho the cinematography in the first nine years was stunning. Gritty and dark. It lost that after series ten. Eleven was too light.
@@AirwolfArchive Been a long time since Ive watched them all properly but I remember enjoying pretty much every series except 14. I also felt the show started to get really good when Georgiadis joined Blue Watch.
@@LicencetoWho agreed. The budget went up exponentially from his first year to series nine. The larger episode orders from ten onwards stretched it too much. LWT didn’t increase it accordingly.
"I'm losing a lot of blood"
"No you're not......... it's going in your boot."
So simple but with that theme, you cant even crack a smile
We get back to the station sort out the equipment and then sit down and talk about it between shouts!!!
Excellent compilation, great versions I remember them all. TV had so much more atmosphere back then thanks to really good themes like these.
That Series 10 version hits hard when you're in your feels.
It sure does. I love that guitar riff
Seasons 1-4 are my favorite. Got boring after Malcolm cross left including station officer Tate back in series 3. Malcolm left in mid of season 5. Not a fan of leading hand Pierce at all.
@@britishcarfan9601 geoff did mellow out alot in the the later series after he had met fiona.
@@mark170981 I never liked him to begin with. Malcolm was the better leading hand
Rest in Peace to the children of the Sutton Fire
Great compilation. Thank you for putting this together. All the Sad Theme renditions I remember are here. The last one was heartbreaking with John Alford as Billy told of his grandmothers death and sitting on her empty hospital bed, mourning her.
Only one that I did not include was John's Funeral. which I will upload later as its not a rendition of the main theme. Honestly I was never a big fan of Billy and in Series 10 I just found him obnoxious along with Gregg. Shame the whole fake sheikh thing ruined Alford's career.
@@LicencetoWho didn’t have a problem with him. Indeed about his future. Houghton as Gregg though was entirely miscast. Too cocky and smug. I preferred the following series to his.
@@LicencetoWho be great if you could put John’s funeral theme rendition up with Vaseline’s in a new upload. I loved the latter’s. Can’t remember the other.
@@AirwolfArchive I will be uploading both Hallam and Recalls soon. As for Vaselines sadly Marion II and III are crying through the track and I was not too happy with how it turned out. I will upload what I did manage to salvage though.
@@LicencetoWho don’t worry about it. Just keep their crying and the priests dialogue in. It was part of the sequence and worked rather well. I only wish that we could have a soundtrack album of the score. Tragic that the lead composer took his own life a decade ago.

Outstanding!
This is genius honesty
You forgot TV presenter, Roland Rivron also helped create this iconic theme.
@Exploring Beyond Yes, a great show [ I have the entire series on DVD ], Roland Rivron was credited for the first series [ and pilot ]. Him and the late Simon Brint used to do a sketch show apparently called Raw Sex {LOL }. Sadly Brint committed suicide in 2011. Rivron was involved with the football anthem, Vindaloo [ he plays the drums on it ].
All of these showed all how sad things were in this long-running series.
The series 9 one reminds me of the ending of the episode of John Hallam's death
Indeed, Saundra was so sad that her husband had passed.

It was sad when John died 😭
@@Bingo-zd1gp very true, for him being my favorite character until he died, I could never replace the stern but loving sub officer that is John Hallam.
The theme that is Series 6 (alt) and Series 9 is my favourite. I will always associate that with the announcement of Hallam's death, and the station doors being closed like a mark of respect to the departed hero.
God, I can remember watching Series 4, episode 10 when everyone came back apart from Recall, John, and Bayleaf.
It was also sad when the death of John Hallam. Cause one of the pumps just came back from a shout and then the news came in that John didn’t make it (Season 9 episode 5)
Also very poignant scene and last scene with Sean Blowers as Hallam telling George in his mind to turn the television off, and Hallam dying of his injuries at the same time in hospital.
I broke my heart when Hallam died
@@guineagirl5078 mine to my favourite character from all the characters. After season 10 this show went bad
@@jane1975 I agree. It’s sad to Jeff as he basically saw John as his brother when his wife left him and John would always give him a ride to and from work. And hearing the news that his brother didn’t make it is sad, cause Jeff was bullied a lot and John would always be there for him.
@@syedhussain379 it did not get bad it was still good to watch London burning was my favourite TV series
The original London's Burning The Movie, John Halam (if I spelt he's surname right) and when Billy find out about he's nan pasting. Are the three that got me when I was younger. But is John Halam's theme in this?
Did you up load John, recal and Vaseline’s music?
You can find those three in the London's Burning Funeral Themes video I uploaded.
These are series 1-10 Recall was series 14 I think? Also it was rubbish.
