You can find accommodation in Canada using Facebook marketplace, kijiji, realtor.ca
Initially, you can look for a basement however if your budget allows then definitely look for an apartment or a house.
Generally, owners expect tenants to sign a lease for a year, however at times you can get a lease for 6 months as well.
There are 2 types of basement in Canada, legal and illegal and the terms are self explanatory.
If you’re planning to stay only for a month or two, only then go for an illegal basement.

I'm aware of the affordability of living in a basement but I'll feel so claustrophobic living in it. Windows is a must in my opinion especially in a country which receives relatively less sunlight.
By watching this video I can say that living abroad is not easy at all, I can't even imagine to live in a single room
The thing that I loved about this basement is that it has standing bathroom instead of bath tub

Well, good lady, mind you these are only the initial teething troubles, you are facing in a foreign country; but as the time flies you are definitely would be collecting most of the needful things for your life as you get closer to settlement of your life here. I am saying this, as I have experience of living in Canada for nearly now 30 years and it seems I have come from India only months ago. So keep your patience intact and will power high !!! I have a question that why people live in a basement underground in a small place with 1100 cad when u can get an apartment in toronto less than that also apartment is 1000 times better than living in basement no light comes there also the room is really small when the apartments are more open and better

If someone wants to do architecture from Canada ,what should be the expense happen in entire journey??
Average 9-10 lakh 1 year fees + 6-7 lakh GIC + 1.5 lakh ticket + 50 thousand shopping + 1.6 lakh cash when you travel + ielts/embassy/medical/biomatrix fees 40 thousand = maximum 21 lakh (( moslty stundents do diploma of 2 years from canada if you do bachelor of 4 years its became expensive )) and jobs market after diploma is also good course like civil engneering technician or technologist courses has good scope
but moslty people go in computer realted course that also has good scope
