Great Tutorial, Flash drive or portable HD is a great idea for people with limited or poor internet connection. Obviously you need internet to intially download all movie/ T V series metadata for each, but after that I love that the Zidoo can operate fully offline when using Dedicated External HDD for all Movies & T.V Shows.
As a current Zappiti Neo owner (sadly Zappiti coming to a end- Liquidation) where internet is always required, this Zidoo just might be my next upgrade

did you find a workaround, besides a sneaker network (ubs drive) to get movies into the zidoo? Mine is hardwired with ethernnet, same as my pc. but zidoo has a smb bug not allowing windows pc to copy m,ovies to zidoo internal drives. Did you find any way to do this besides walking a drive over?

How must the flash drive be formatted? Does the Zidoo recognize exFat? I use exFat with my Mac, so it should work with the Zidoo if the Zidoo recognizes exFat. Thanks.

hello, I have a zidoo 5000 and I want to ask what kind of HDD 3.5 should I use? what brand and how many revolutions? I now have a 1TB WD green 5400 RPM and 32MB cache. It often happens that the picture jerks or jerks, then nothing for a while, and then jerks and jerks again when I play a 4K UHD FILM. don't you know why this is happening to me? is the hdd weak? Please help me

Hello, my drives are Seagate or Western Digital. Is your drive internal or external. It really doesn't matter but if it's internal, try to get an enclosure for the hard drive and see it that works or not
