I bend over a lot at work and that rules out most positions. Like you even if that wasn’t the case my fuel tank rules out appendix carry. The position that works best for me is 3 o’clock. It provides the best range of movement, comfort and concealability. When it’s winter time I love my shoulder holster because it’s super comfortable and it gives me a break from IWB. There are myriad configurations and positions and configurations of positions. Great vid! Thanks!
I go with appendix carry using an IWB holster that keeps the firearm a little higher on the waistline so that when I sit down, my belly actually pushes it out rather than getting stabbed by the rear iron site. I initially got an IWB that wasn't as comfortable and I realized with the second one, that the first was just sitting it little too low for me to bend over and tie my shoes or sit comfortably in a chair. An extra inch or so of height on the handgun in relation to my belt line made a huge difference for comfort. I carry everyday, including at home.
That’s only beneficial with smaller frame people, if your fat or have a beer belly that print is gonna be ridiculous.
I went through exactly the same thing. It was a big relief when I finally adjusted the height. It even prints less now even though it is sitting up higher. I just figured it would've been easier to hind the lower it is. Nope!
Thank you for that tip
I use to carry a waist holster, but had a locking device at the top. I loved it because I would always place myelbow over the top of the weapon.
I'm 6'4", 275 lbs and of the fluffy variety. I have zero issues with appendix tho usually at the 1:30-2:00 o'clock position. As you stated...this is what works for me. Even with a just a tad over-sized t-shirt I have very little to no printing with either my Hellcat or my G3C and can work, drive, and the honey-do list comfortably. I do prefer appendix, as just like open-carry, if someone realizes I'm carrying a 3, 4, or 6 o'clock IWB, they could easily over-power from behind to steal my weapon. I would highly recommend a level-2 or higher retention holster for open-carry.
Just find what works for you.
Couldn't agree more. Its all about personal preference and what works for you, your lifestyle, and your body type. Thanks for chiming in! -Dustin
I've got the 43x with TLR 6 IWB holster from them. Its my EDC, it's super comfy and easy to adjust how much tension you want.
Love to hear it!
same exact setup, what position do you carry? I'm playing with different setups but leaning towards 3:30 strong side w/forward cant.
I've only recently purchased a handgun and have been investigating on where I want to carry it best. Like you I'm not exactly a rail so appendix carry isn't really an option. I'm honestly leaning more towards four or five o'clock has the most comfortable for someone that ends up sitting a lot during the course of the day.
I'm a LEO and I carry a Glock 19 off-duty comfortably in a 3:30 position just right behind the hip/waist with a very forward cant. It is the sweetest spot I ever found and I can wear a tight fitting t-shirt with virtually no print. You need a holster with a recessed belt clip that's fixed to the Trigger area, not the Holster, or else the clip will print. You don't even need a mod-wing because the forward cant slides it against the back of your waist. Technically it's a 4 o'clock carry with the forward cant sliding it into a 3:30. If you have some meat around the waist, it hides even better lol.
This set up requires some adjustments and modding to a holster. I used a Polecraft. Took the clip off the Holster and fixed it onto the trigger screw holes. The clip is very horizontally adjustable which gives you that Deep forward cant that makes the butt of the gun grip disappear completely. With a nice comfortable tight belt, I forget it's on. I can drive, run, sit, eat, walk and climb. It stays there. Every now and then I'll have to adjust the forward cant to keep it hidden as possible only IF I'm wearing a tight T-shirt only. If I'm wearing a button up, I don't ever have to touch it. Don't carry Appendix, most especially if you're Law Enforcement. You have to re-train yourself to draw from a different place. Not to mention you got the thing aimed at your junk and driving while appendix carry hurts like a b*tch. And if you're taking your pistol out the appendix in order to drive, well that defeats the whole damn purpose.
i carry this exact same way, moved the left side of my belt clip down a notch to make it angled. very comfortable
👍🏻👍🏻
Same. Best for me. No printing, easy access, draw from side stance, can move and sit.
Years of tying it all, this is where i settled too.
Thank you for the info I just settled for that same position myself perfect explanation.
Wtf I thought I was watching Custom Offsets for a second lol…. Pretty cool Dustin 😎
Hahah welcome to the new adventure friend! -Dustin
OWB 3:30-4:00. It's not an issue. Same shirts I always use. There is no need for a trench coat. Never been made. Won't carry any other way.
I'm waiting for my Maryland Wear & Carry permit to clear, and I just got my IWB holster from you (Recommended/sponsored by Colion Noir's channel). I've been wearing it around the property to practice and... it's weird. It's really weird. Probably just psychological, but I'm still pretty new to firearms ownership, and carrying a gun anywhere but the range just feels strange. I wear it on my hip because I move around a lot and it's the most comfortable when I sit, crouch, etc. Good video, this is useful.
Glad we could help. It definitely takes a bit to get used to. Biggest thing I can recommend is practice practice practice. It will feel a lot better the more you do it, and don’t be afraid to try different positions until you find what works for you
I've grown partial to paddle holsters on my mid sized and a owb belt holster for my compact.
Great video 👍
Only position I have found so far that works for me and my lifestyle is appendix. I’m not thin but it conceals the best and most comfortable by a long shot. Keep up the great videos! My first We The People holster was ordered yesterday so I am stoked to try it out.
Glad you found a spot that works for you. It really does completely come down to each individuals preference. Let us know what you think of the holster!
@@wethepeopleholsters I love my new holster! Thanks guys! czcams.com/video/E8mtmOPQtKc/video.html
I just received my WTP holster 2 days ago and I Cary at the 12 O’Clock position.I’m a smaller guy and I Cary a full size firearm, I have to say this is the most comfortable holster with the Claw attachment and it doesn’t print at all I’m so impressed. I’m now a WeThePeople costumer for life
Heck yeah, glad you found a setup that works for you. Welcome to the family.
It’s a little ironic that while I was watching your video, an ad for Vedder holsters popped up
When I first saw this dude I thought I was watching a "Custom Offsets" video
Hahah, you found me on the new adventure! -Dustin
I recently got the WTP gun belt with ratcheting buckle. It makes it really easy to find the perfect spot to carry your firearm. If something doesn't feel right, just loosen the belt a bit, move your holster and just pull it back tight. It's the best belt in my collection.
VERY Informative Video! I'm going to share this with some new to carry friends. Thanks for sharing. God bless you. > OH, I just subbed your channel too.
@wethepeopleholsters I decided to switch from my other edc holsters to we the people IWB appendix. When I first got it I was impressed as it was incredibly comfortable and fit my pistol flawlessly, plus made in USA. After a year or so, the belt clip on the holster snapped/failed. Luckily this did not happen in an emergency situation. I always check my screws/retention often to make sure everything is secure. I also use thread lock so screws are less likely to loosen. I carry my edc up to 10 hrs a day 365 and all my other holsters have never failed. And those are 9 plus years old. The plastic on the WTP holder seems too firm where it can be prone to breakage. Other holsters have a little more give and seem to be a different type of plastic that can handle multiple uses. I was pleased at first when I contacted WTP about sending replacement parts. But it's been about 2 weeks and my parts still haven't been processed or shipped. Luckily I have a backup holster, but this can be a big issue for people who might not have a backup holster. So I'm not impressed at the unreasonable timeframe to get my edc holster back in service.
Update it took a month for them to send a belt clip. Ridiculous 🤣
Usually companies that push advertising so hard aren't worth the money. ANR makes great holsters and you can upgrade to a steel clip and not have to worry about the crappy plastic clips.
@@weezem any suggestions?
@@gsxr1000jt ANR holsters. Worth the upgrade to the mono block steel clip.
I use IWB either Right Side (3 o'clock) or Small of the back (6 o'clock). I am seeming to prefer the small of the back myself. My love handles (lol) hinder things having it on my right side sometimes.
if your holster allows it, try canting your firearm forward and then try 4 o’clock again, this seems to be the most comfortable for me personally
More important than IWB or OWB is retention folks...!
We need constitutional carry in Louisiana 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Florida made the 26th state so its only a matter of time!
Move over here to Mississippi
As of July 4th Louisiana is now constitutional carry.
4-4:30 iwb or owb is the most comfortable. For me. But my problem is printing & me being on the husky fluffy side don't help lol 😆 and being 1911 as my go to really don't help 😅
I noticed you guy have pretty simplistic holsters, I've got a Tulster Holster for my P365 X Macro but the weight of the Mag in their profile series Holster causes fairly significant printing do you guys have something that would work better? For the same price point?
Right hand shooter 5' 6" 195lbd I carry cross draw IWB in the 10 o-clock position
Just got mine in today I have it on right now lol but I love it just make sure to tighten up the retention it comes a little loose but nothing a Phillips head can’t fix! I appendix carried for awhile, then went to Alien gear for 8 years wearing it at 4’Oclock and it’s very comfortable but im not risking somebody killing me after taking my gun while im in line somewhere… so im going to get to seeing how it holds up I just want to know one thing bout the holster with the mag holders, if the fit is the same or if it is a little different cause the dimension of it looks slightly different.
Are you refering to our freedom line? If so, the Freedom Holster is made to be the ultimate in flexibility. You can design it a multitude of different ways. -Dustin
I am getting fitment industries vibes right now
Hahah thanks, Alex is a great friend of mine! -Dustin
The key word here is "concealed". Personally, I prefer belly bands.
KING TROY BROUGHT ME HERE
I have three we the people holsters. The paddle holster, paddle broke off getting in an out of the car. IWB holster, belt clip broke off while removing holster. Third holster not using because of the other two breaking.
Iwb appendix LGB WTP holster.
8:10 can be found the best advice.
This gave me Fitment Industries vibes lol
Alex is a pretty close friend of mine, so I'm flattered haha -Dustin
Hey weren’t you with custom offset?
Yessir I was, You found me on the new adventure!
My issue is sitting while driving and sitting down when I go to restaurants. Any tips to help with that? I typically carry appendix.
Really depends on your body type. Some folks can sit down with a full size tucked into appendix, whereas a fluffier guy like me that wont work. I find that a strong sided 3-4 oclock works well if I'm going to be sitting a lot. -Dustin
I practice this a lot at home and what I noticed that works for me is letting my pants and holster ride up my belly a bit. Now I’m a skinny guy but I’m tall as well. Before sitting down pull your pants up. Try it at dinner tonight. Hope this helps a lil bit. ✌🏿
A shoulder holster lol
"Illegal in some states" is such a stupid thing that any state has a "law" against how and what someone chooses to protect life!!! Its not gun control, its people control and it makes me sick very sick to know that there are ignorant humans out there wondering around like idiots wanting to take a persons availability to protect themselves. Especially while some have an armed security team to protect them!!!
No disagreement here, funny how the world works sometimes isn't it? -Dustin
As long as they wear their mask, they're more intelligent than anyone else too!😂
Appendix carry, so many holster options, and a faster draw
This video gave me vibes of a fitment industries video lol
Did you work for fitment industries
I'm so fat that I could conceal it in my belly.
Why is the same guy that sold me my truck wheels selling me a gun holster now…
You found me on my new adventure! haha -Dustin
This is like og fitment industries videos 😂
Hahahah I mean, same same but different right?
@@wethepeopleholsters the same but about another one of my passions, just don’t go down hill like they did a year ago!
Catfish dude - ever been fishing?
WTPH takes forever to get you holster to you. I wouldn't recommend them if you are in a hurry.
Sorry to hear that you've had issues in the past. Currently, our average order to customer is less than 7 days. We've been working extensively on process improvements to quicken that delivery time. If you have an order number I can check into the status for you and let you know where its at -Dustin
You guys need to read your negative reviews and find a way to fill orders faster. 6 -8 weeks in ridiculous
I just got my holster and my gun doesn’t even fit. Correct holster ordered. Just doesn’t fit without taking the screw all the way out
Even skinny dudes can hate appendix. I carry full size and every attempt at appendix just equals pain.
I carry most IWB on my hip. If im wearing a thick coat thats hard to draw from i use a shoulder holster.
Usually it’s due to where the end of your slide/muzzle is that causes a pressure point. You may just need to bring your belt a little higher or you can use a negative cant for the slide to rest along the valley between your thigh and torso
Permits are unconstitutional..NUFF SAID
More canik holsters

If you're open carrying with a holster with anything less than Stage 2 retention, you need to not carry openly.
Exactly
What is stage 2 retention?
@efreutel Stage 1 just holds your gun, like a cowboy style leather holster is a good example of a state 1 retention. A stage 2 holster locks your gun and has a release button that needs to be depressed in order to remove the gun from the holster. A stage 3 has another retention feature in addition, such as a loop that slides over the grip of the handgun to prevent someone from snatching the firearm from your holster.
Levels not stages.
@@rjlewis8346 terminology literally does not matter. Grow up.
This reminds me alot of Donut media. With guns instead of cars.
Your guys' shipping is the worst. 7 to 14 days just to ship and still have to wait another week after you finally ship it.
I need help picking one I can sit with, Sw mp2.0
Hip carry at 4 o'clock with IWB at 15 degree cant = perfection.
Crying a gun sucks. It’s always uncomfortable. I’ve tried many ways. A fanny pack looks the most con and comfy but also lame looking haha
Yeah crying a gun definitely sucks. It always stretches out my tear ducts.

Hey Cullen,
Sorry to hear that you've had a less than stellar experience. If you can provide me with your order number I'll gladly have someone reach out right away so we can work through any troubles you might have. -Dustin
Dhl tracking is a joke. So is dhl. They take forever and the tracking is a farce. In the end they hand the package over to the post office and then there is really no tracking. In big cities you need accurate tracking in real time cause when it's delivered you need to run home and get it asap or it won't be on your porch when you get home.
I just ordered my first We The People holster for my SD40 VE for my conceal carry...looking forward to getting it. Eventually I will make a video on my channel.
