Took mine out for the first run today. Before I did, I flipped the bumper brackets upside down for more clearance, and lifted the side skirts too, chopped out some of the rubber nibbles from the tyres to make them better for thick mud and finally loosened the shock caps to make them non sticky. It’s awesome!! Virtually unstoppable! Plus I got 1.5 hours out of my 5000mah battery. Love this thing, highly recommend it to all.

TRX4 Climber I just made some very basic plastic spaces and then used longer screws to hold them back down.

@@p4ul.f708 No! That is what makes it the TRX4 "Sport" and subsequently less expensive than the TRX4. 1 gear, locked diffs, a lot less to break or go wrong.

No way that’s right out of the box! Really no mods? Tires? Shocks? Motor and esc. That’s so smooth!

Very nice video Kisun. How does the performance compare to the much heavier Defender TRX4?
If you don't mind , I can answer that for you since I have both. Box stock the sport out performs the defender. Much lighter and less top heavy. Stock shocks aren't that great. Very sticky. Overall a very capable truck.
Wade...would you recommend this truck to a newbie? I'm in the uk & don't want to spend mega money but want something capable and fun. Was thinking about waiting for the Redcat Gen 8...I've heard good things. Anything else I should consider?
@@bencurphey909 the sport is a great crawler/trail truck. Stock , it has decent speed for trails while hiking or walking. Crawling is great. For the money, it's durable. It's not a basher but no crawler really is. You have to start somewhere in the hobby, so why not this truck. Run mine on a 3 cell Lipo battery. I get about 2 hours from a traxxas 5000 mah, 25c, 11.1v. ID# 2872x. They also make a slightly shorter pack but whatever works for you.

The only thing i hate about the trx-4 chassis, is if you take it in water it rusts, for the price you pay, it should all be stainless steel👍 i have an rgt ex 86100 jeep, and everything is stainless steel, fully waterproof, half the cost of this, and could easily give this a run for it's money. Not saying it's not an awesome truck, but traxxas, axial, hpi, charge way too much for their rigs.

An air compressor and a little CRC 6-56 goes a long way

I'm starting to think instead of these truck bodies being shipped in plastic bags and protective film they should come pre scuffed and scratched from the factory. They tend to remain beautifully 'pristine' for WAY too short of a time when driven, and they can't be driven without forever losing their pristine finish.
you should have sprayed those tires with WD-40 before you did the video:-) just a TIP
