Megabytes is a term used for storage devices Network speeds use the term megabits So bytes for storage Bits for network 8bits = 1 byte is a storage term but when you talking in terms for mega bits or kilo bits or giga bits its always network speed As a matter of fact if you got I any internet speed tester, you will find all of them measure in Mbps not MBps

Actually It's technical fault because it's rule, that if we are mentioning storage than it should be in Bytes, but if it's tranferring speed than its bits, because speed is measured only in bits "Binary digits" transferred per second

This is normal specially in india, i have the same Internet Provider that you might have shown which is Excitel and for me it is the best in India cause it have no hidden policies like promoting for unlimited Internet at certain speeds for example how Airtel does it unlimited usage @1GBPS and then after 1000 or something GB the speed get's decreased at 1-10mbps But Excitel says Truly Unlimited and No Issues in speed even when it's raining or thunderstorm
You didn't share more important part is that this offer is only for first three months. After 3 months the cost is above ₹600 per month. Giving for first 3 months is no big deal. Some providers give first three months for free. So should they claim 300 Mbps in ₹0 per month?
