Oh fuck yeah I miss breaking so BADLY that seeing you guys have such fun and exciting and enjoyable time doing this; making me want to pull out my re-breakable boards (and as it happens-- also are CENTURY brand). I have different boards though I've noticed?
A few differences:
1- my boards don't slide in together, they snap shut
2- color code is very different....i have the old school boards.
Yellow, orange, green, blue, red, purple, white, and black.
My yellow says it's equivalent to breaking a 1/2" pine. The green say that it's equivalent to breaking a 1 3/4" pine. The black says 3" clay brick.
I taught my own students at my own dojo in 2001. I bought all the supplies for my school approximately in 2000 or 1999.

I haven't pulled those things out, let alone even done anything with them, in oh....geez...I'd say maybe roughly 3-4 years...
I still teach, I no longer have my dojo. I do private instructions for students now, one-on-one. I enjoy training at a humongous variety of locations like a park or my backyard to the lake or beautiful utah landscapes of our choosing 😀

The worst part about using plastic boards is putting them all back together....LOL.......more time putting them together than breaking, but is fun and good training for the real pine boards and concrete
I think they would have made the big breaks if the stand wasn't moving. The stand seems like it was absorbing the power

I think the tall one could have been the winner. He did not concentrate and kicked way to high at failing point, so he actually kicked the hole holding device instead of the boards. It is a petty he did not realise that.

Have you guys ever tried breaking the opposite order? In other word: break from harder to easier? Physics says energy would make that work in your favor.

I’ve got boards, idk where they are from, but they are a lot thicker! Maybe try buying some so you don’t have to use as many boards? Great video!
Thicker doesn't mean they are stronger 😂 If you tried the amount we got to in these boards, you would probably appreciate the difficulty. Happy to break yours if we meet in the future 😁
Ginger Ninja Trickster totally agree with you! But I do think the ones I’ve got happen to be harder anyway, so maybe it’s worth getting a few! I don’t think you’ll be able to pack 3 and be able to break all of them (I mean, maybe you could😂) but they are very hard. They’re the blitz ones I think! And the breaking in this video was amazing, there’s no doubt in my mind it was difficult, especially here last few! So many boards! How does it not hurt your ankles? When I break with a side kicks the boards always smack my ankles (they are heavier tbh, maybe that’s why!)

Those are the boards our little kids use to break in my school...
Technique looks ok but the boards they are breaking are for kids... Little kids
If they want to break real boards they have to step much deeper into the kick. They should left step behind the right foot then kick though the boards
