  • Viewing the awesome 4th of July fireworks show at Lake Cunningham Park. I was with my cuzz here. We wanted to see fireworks up close vs the usual random city or neighborhood ones lol. For the very first time, East San Jose had its very first professional firework show here at Lake Cunningham Park! District 8 Councilmember Domingo Candelas was hosting this first ever 4th of July fireworks show. This free event had begun at 7pm (fireworks began roughly around 9:20pm, a slight delay since it was supposed to start at 9). I suppose they waited until it got dark enough out so we could see the show in its full splendor. The event was coordinated to build community and combat illegal fireworks. Thousands of families came out to enjoy this city-sponsored, fire department-sanctioned event. ‘Til next year… Happy 4th of July folks! Stay safe out there... (Thursday evening, July 4, 2024)
