    You have a really cool farm. You forgot to talk about your bees, I started watching when you were incubating Bamboo when he was just an egg. I love how affectionate the emus are. Cool to see that with a large bird. You should consider some ice skates with that pond. Stay safe!

      @@whitehouseonthehill HI guys....get yourself some Cochin chickens. Not the bantams just regular cochins. They will sit on and hatch anything you want hatched on your homestead. They are GREAT sitters and mothers. Even the roosters are known to sit on the chicks. They are BEAUTIFUL feather on the legs birds. Second to largest. Turkeys are known to squish their babies. Not on purpose of course.

    Miniature pigs are miniature in comparison to the larger meat breeds! It is common for the breed you have to weigh between 100-200lbs. Versus 800+ in some of the meat breeds. 😊

    • @scottlepak7068
      @scottlepak7068 Před 2 lety +10

      Exactly, it's a common misconception that "mini pigs" stay tiny. In reality I would not expect a healthy adult miniature pig to weigh any less than 40-50lbs, and depending on the exact breed most will grow much larger than that. Basically, any adult pig under 300lbs can be considered "miniature." In comparison, most of the breeds more commonly raised for meat will weigh anywhere from 400-1,000lbs when full grown.

      That's a great idea besides the fact the apple seeds aren't very good for birds, the safe fruit seeds and pits are grape, citrus fruits, squash, pumpkins, tomatoes, melons, mango, pomegranate, and berries.

      Try some red and white currents, they are delicious, low maintenance and really frost hardy. Birds will eat the red berries and usually not the white because they don't look ripe like the red ones do. The white ones are super delicious!

    Mini pigs are only mini compared to the massive size of pigs in general. Those are mini pigs of some sort, and they're not done growing. A mini pig that is properly fed and cared for will generally get over a hundred pounds, sometimes by quite a bit.
    They don't stop growing until they're several years old, so people breed them when they're very young and instruct new owners to underfeed the piglets to make it seem like the parents are tiny and their offspring will also stay tiny.
