Today we're going to learn how to ask someone if they speak English, how to tell someone to say something in English, and how to say you're busy learning Afrikaans or you can't speak Afrikaans.
If you have any lesson requests, please let me know in the comments! As jy enige versoeke vir lesse het, laat my asseblief in die kommentaar-afdeling weet.

Hi friends! Thanks for watching! Are there any other topics you would like me to make a video about?
Hey! I would like to see a video about pronunciation. Sometimes I am quite surprised about how you say the vowels and Iâm like âI didnât see that comingâ. Thanks!
Lovely channel! Keep up the good work :)
Afrikaans with Lindie maybe some advice on movies, shows, music, CZcams, blogs... In afrikaans â€ïž
Afrikaans with Lindie are you able to understand/speak dutch? it fascinates me every time i hear afrikaans how similar it sounds!!
Wat een leuke reeks om te bekijken! Mijn Afrikaanse vrienden komen op bezoek in Belgie en deze reeds helpt mij om de afrikaanse tongval weer te ontdekken!
Ek is bly jy geniet dit!
Wow!! I have just decided to learnd Afrikaans. I will use your videos so I hope you will upload more in the future â„â„
I home school my two youngest children. We are slowly learning French, Italian, German, Spanish, Korean, Japanese, Cantonese, Mandarin, Russian, Swedish, Norwegian, Latin, Australian Sign Language, and American Sign Language as a side hobby.
One day I hope to also learn my father's language of Swahilian ( he was born in Swahili, Kenya ) and my mother's ancestors language of Polish.
I think now, I would also like to learn Afrikaans, too. You make it look so easy and because of you with your other channel ( we have started to use your French, Korean, Japanese learning tools to help us progress further in our studies ) we are seeing a slow improvement. A huge thank you for taking the time to helping others learn. You are passing along some very invaluable skills.
I would like to learn about basic everyday things in Afrikaans...for example: rooms in a home and items in them.
Like kitchen, kettle, pots, stove etc.
Then maybe colours, alphabet, numbers, idioms, any grammar rules that are important to know etc.
I hope you don't mind me asking those questions.
Jy is die oulikste juffrou Lindie. đđđđđđđ

@@renatofigueiredo603 How can you maintain so many languages and even learn more? I'm impressed! (I had to use google translate to understand it completly)
@@mep6302 Hi. Read and listen music or tv shows/news on youtube to keep the languages, the worst part is to talk. Nowadays, as I'm studying at the university, I can speak in Spanish, English, and French. The others no. I also use google translate to the languages I'm studying.
I think itâs cute that English in Afrikaans is similar to âangelâ in German đ Cool video, Lindie!
Angel is also engel in Afrikaans! :D
It's gonna mess up my mind that "jy", meaning "you", in Afrikaans is pronounced identically to "jeg" in Norwegian, which means "I".
I do the same every time I see something in Norwegian!
@@afrikaanswithlindie Haha, utter confusion. Thankfully I am from Bergen where we say "eg" with a hard g and long vowel.
Ek kannie Afrikaans praat nie maar ek praat Engels, maar ek verstaan jou.
