    I've watched hundreds of oil painting tutorials over the last years and honestly this is one of the best I've seen. A treasure trove of tips and information in 45 minutes. Thank you Susan!

    I am stunned by how well you paint a portrait! Stunned too by how in 48 minutes you imparted so much accumulated knowledge about what you should do, and what you should not do, when using Rosemary brushes. My Rosemary brush order arrived! Thanks to your excellent art video I will be able to maximize their use and treat them with respect.

    This tutorial is amazing. You only get this kind of knowledge in expensive but worthwhile workshops. Thank you Susan for sharing. One of the best, if not the best, tutorials out there if you want to take your painting to the next level.

    Maybe one of the best tutorial videos ever, since most of us starters have never had the chance to experience the incredible variety of different shapes, size and brush hairs and wouldn't know how to really employ them other than trial and error. Thanks to Susan and Symi!

    Thank you so much Susan for such great instructions! The other day I spent a long time starring at the brushes at the art store without having a clue what to buy, but now I know! Your paintings are stunning 😍

    It would be very helpful to add a written list to this video description of the brushes and sizes Sue used in this demo. It would also be helpful to know if this is a linen surface or no canvas at all, since it would effect how easily the paint would spread without medium.

    I will echo what everyone else has said about this video. I went right away to try and it was so helpful in dealing with frustrations I've had handling oil paints. What a difference! Thank you so much. It's been invaluable information.
    BTW, your paintings are beautiful and I love that you incorporate the quirkiness of splayed brushes.

    The problem now are the extremely high import taxes which Germany demands when I want to order products from England. It´s a shame. You need to create a possibility (like a branch within the EU), so that we can order your products again.

    This is a great video! I’m so glad I found it. I definitely was frustrated by having too much paint in the brush and not being mindful of the various hair types and amounts of hair. This was such an excellent demonstration of the whole subject of choosing the most beneficial brush for the job. Eye opening! Thanks so much!!!❤️

    Just what I needed to hear! Thank you! I felt I was growing as an artist and then the past couple weeks nothing was working. I think my brushes have a LOT to do with it. Okay I have a lot to learn too. But I have the combers and I'm certainly going to purchase some of the ones you described! I been trying to make airier and interesting background - but yes my bkg have been heavy and solid and I have been struggling to create the effect I want! And I don't have the brushes to cut in on the profile or hard edges. My goodness - thank you Susan!

    I have found this video 1 year after it was produced, (after looking at several on you tube) and this is my second time watching it! I am a beginner using some cheap brushes and looking for advice on what good brushes to buy….putting together a Rosemary and Co order. Your presentation here is so informative and helpful! I like your painting style and the way you explain things, would love to attend a workshop someday! Thank you!!

    Thank you thank you for doing this video! After ordering my first few Rosemary brushes I knew I was going to replace--or rather-- start fresh and order all new brushes. But I've been so torn about which ones to get. Consciously picking up every brush as I'm working and asking myself why I'm using whatever brush I'm using, am I struggling --if so, why, and what would I use if I could use anything....it's been pretty eye opening. Anyhow, I do so appreciate this video and all the thought you put into it! Wonderful!

    And I'll check your CZcams channel to see if there are more video like this, about brushes advised for landscapes.. thank you again

  • @rayandbeckyviglione4285

    This was an amazing tutorial, thank you! Just a quick note to add: You can white balance your camera when you take the picture, but you also should have a color calibrated monitor so what you are actually getting from your camera white balance matches what you are seeing and outputting from your computer. Otherwise, your colors may still be off. Not all monitors can be color calibrated either, but just thought that you may want to add that added note.

    This was such an informative video. What a great teacher. I live in France and ordered a lot of brushes about 5 weeks ago. I’m very satisfied with them but was shocked to receive a VAT bill from the transport company demanding me to pay a sum of about a quarter of the price of my order. This will put me off doing any more business with UK until this problem is solved.

    • @progrockmind
      @progrockmind Před 2 lety +1

      And how this VAT story is relevant to the subject? You should be really grateful you live where you live, others are not that fortunate - I live in Canada, don't ask me how much we pay here for Rosemary brushes.
      Next time vent your frustrations (trifles) out in a different place.

    Susan, when I first clicked on the video I thought you were just a craft painter by your look. But, you do paint well. I like how you hold your brush. I like how you clean your brush. I think it is ok to use short handles with small panels or plein air. But for larger canvases you should use longer handles. I like your glass palet, but you should move it closer to your work. This far away is not efficient. Overall a good presentation of the Rosemary and Co. brushes.

    • @karenw5067

      Suggest you try creating an account & try placing your order. If you have any issues at the checkout, you can contact their customer services team to resolve your shipping issues. This really isn't the best forum for your question.

    • @RosemaryCoArtistBrushes
      @RosemaryCoArtistBrushes  Před 2 lety

      The issue has been for a long time the import duty into India. We did once send there, but so many customers were refusing to pay the hidden costs and import duties, so we had to find a solution. Although we do not ship directly to India, we do have a distributor out there.
      You will need to email Tarrum from AS INTERNATIONAL:
      info@asmall.in
      If he does not have the brushes you need right away, I am sure he will order them for you.
      Many thanks,
