There are a few malwares for other scripting programming languages, like Python (Biennale.A) or PHP, but they're utterly uninteresting. Besides, most of the "interesting" old school malware was written in Assembly, C, VB6, VBScript, VBA.

It's possible to get 98 running in DOSBox-X, but you need to edit the configuration file in a certain way.

I think it changes the IE Startup Page and Search Tool when it is run, but setting up IE reverts the current startup page to the default startup page.
