hi passing up to 30 Hertz will make your track sounds thin
Bruh no
It’s funny that beginners are taught that this is completely wrong. Although I would do a less steep
curve and this is extreme, this trick will single handedly make your tracks sound great if done right. Once you are able to hear the 20k rumble, you will never unhear it. You’ll see someday 😎
🔥
Loudness is killing music, break this trend please.
Na
@@kucklowmusic9184 well looking at the music you listen to, I can see that overproduced garbage is what you grew up on 🤣
@@K___R cool 👍
@@K___R why are you even here? brick wall compression is the standard for this style of music. this isn't acoustic instruments. you must be lost.
@@jb34ch1 This style of music and pretty much any music today is just mindlessly following the trend, "loud is better". Electronic music was NEVER as loud and overproduced as it is nowdays
Thank You Bro 🙏🏼
Who does a cut that steep on their master? 😂😂😂
I assume edmers and they'll probably disagree 😂
Thanks
Low cut should not be put onto the master, only low shelf. Also, cranking the gain on master like this just pushes your levels too high. You should be keeping dB lower and using saturation to create perceived loudness.
Selam. Lufs kullanmayın. Drumları kapatın, sadece Vocal ve diğer sesler kalsın. Ve lufsu - 18-16 arası yapın. sonrasında Drumları açın işte gerçek ses yüksekliği budur. Transientler çok fazla bi şey ifade etmez
Phase rotation got fucked up 😢
Yiooooo man 😍😍😍
here to see the real "experts" opinions 👀
Someone told me this and it ruined my mix for a whole year. do not do this if u make trap beats
Don't do this if you make any fuckin musical genre known to mankin
I knew something is wrong when I entered the comments section.
Isn't low cut on master dangerous for phase shift and correlation ?
100 percent. Even when using a linear phase EQ i tend to avoid brickwall curves, 6 to 24 db curves are fine. People forget -6db is cutting the frequency in half, even a 6db curve on a low or high pass is powerful
Cut 20Hz Before master.
I want sub base so why would I want to do that 😂
Yeah, uhhhh dont do this.... this only creates phasing issues with your low end. You should NEVER be low cutting anything on the master. Your low end should already be dialed in once you reach the mastering stage. There are actually useful mastering tricks to help increase your perceived loudness that dont fuck with the sound info in your track
EQ will not get you any phasing issues if you use it in Linear Phase mode ;) No need to worry about it 🙌
@@theMixElite Yes Linear Phase mode helps keep everything in phase, but it also causes a ton of latency, especially on the highest setting. It's not that fun producing with 150 ms of latency.
@@MCWolf14 then do it as a last step lol
@@theMixElite It still creates pre and post ringing phase artifacts on the low end. Minimum phase just means longer tails for the artifacts.
I'm surprised you're even defending this. Inconsistent low end should be fixed on individual tracks, not the freakin master
Watch Baphometrix talking about high passing the sub range in the master stage. He demonstrates the low end phasing artifacts created by it.
@@MCWolf14 But you're Not producing when mastering? Like, the producing is already Done
You shouldnt need to do this if you have a good mix and decent mastering knowledge. Cutting information is never a good idea when mastering.
huge comment
nope. you should do this if you mastering with headphones or rokit 6 or yamaha hs8 etc.
be realistic. %99.95 does not have analog limiters or huge speakers or very well treatment rooms.
cutting an information which is you can not hear/experienced/controlled with your equipments can be a good idea.
Since when are you ever going to need frequencies below 30 hertz 😭 shit is inaudible
now your English inscrutable.
I've face one problem most of the time i use high pass on my trap kicks, they just loose it's tightness, impact, and it's waveform looks completely changes if I print it out after high pass... Anybody know what can I do in that situation?
use the puitec eq
Dont highpass a trap kick to the point where it loses all of its low end, obviously some kicks need more low end and some need a lot less dependibg on the mix, the bass that will play with the kick etc. etc.
Use a linear phase eq to stop the phase issues
Who told you to take the bass out of your most important bass instrument? 😂 Sorry to tell you, but you've been bamboozled.
Who told you to take the bass out of your most important bass instrument? 😂 Sorry to tell you, but you've been bamboozled.
how to cut below 30hx in fl studio mobile
Oof.. kids, don't do this! 😂
Why Not?
@@sumrandomguy4860 because even beginner don’t do that shit lol it’s master tip for newbie
@@laregalade3069 No Like really why, below 30 might be too much but below 20 Theres absolutely No valuable Audio information, and If you use a linear Phase Mode it doesn't throw Off your Phase aswell...so again, why Not😅
@@sumrandomguy4860 i mean at 30 you basically have all the bass you need, 20 hz is really only for like cinematic music with huge bass rumbles
You definitely should do this if you want to cut clutter from your master ;)
Yeah, put up the gain to mess up all your frequencies and kill dymamics and then cut the low end, how to mess up your song in a few secs
Is my music good ?😢
No need for the EQ
Bruh can you say decibels but not db
Yeah you’re just gonna cause phasing and make your kick lose all its edge if you do this.
wtf?? don't cut above like, 20 hz
Below 30 hz, nothing is going on unless you listen on a big sound system with a subwoofer tbh.
@@dominik2094 or anybody listening with decent headphones
@@yungnilli i was very concerned with this video because it just, says to do this with no context
@@moresnqp It's hard to explain everything in several seconds. Your sub doesn't go lower than 34-36 hz so cutting 30 just gets rid of the clutter.
Do not do this.. I make drill type beats. This screws your 808 slides on lower end speakers like cell phones and ear buds. You can't get those frequencies to cut through the mix on crap speakers by cutting them out to much.
Not true at all, phones can’t play anything below 30hz, I’d be surprised if they play anything below 80hz
@@oscard9429 depends on the phone bro. Some phones are designed to be specifically for audio. Like my phone for example has surround built in with a cinematic dolby 5.1 audio booster. Fine tuned subsonics can indeed push through if the mix is done right.
My beats my 808 slides are cutting through clear as day on my phone. But my friends iphone 14 pro can't hear them as loud but they are still present. But if you're using low quality non original roland 808's you might not have that same luck.
@@oscard9429 This is not true lmao, my phone is like 7 years old and it does reproduce those frequencies.
@@MarkStephensJr I know you can definately hear the bass, but I'm saying that theres no way a phone will play anything below 30 HZ, you need a subwoofer to hear those frequencies or some good monitors.
@@ProjectHMF You can hear the bass, not 30 hz though
Cutting this hard is bad for your tracks phase
What about linear Phase Mode?
@@sumrandomguy4860 it can help
Can you explain I’m trying to get into mixing and mastering. I’ve always heard this but never understood how it’s messes with the phase
@@blackconfucius4974 most digital equalizers use negative phase (phase cancellation) to remove certain frequencies. When you cut very hard it's basically tearing out those frequencies using the opposite waveform witch will change the phase of the remaining frequencies around it drastically. For sound design purposes it doesn't matter to much but in the mixing and mastering stages it can make or break some sounds especially your basses. For example. While gain staging and mixing you might get your kick and sub bass sounding perfect together but once you start cutting the lows and the phase changes it can loose punch or not sound as cohesive. It's really a case by case thing and not always going to ruin your song.
@@Hexeyy ahh gotcha, that makes so much sense, thanks.
im no pro or anything but this doesnt seem right
I like the channel but this is terrible advice.
Why? :) Your sub doesn't go lower than 34-36 hz so cutting 30 just gets rid of the clutter.
@FLStudioTips this creates phasing issues with your low end. You should NEVER be low cutting anything on the master. Your low end should already be dialed in once you reach the mastering stage
@@tonyturnup6551 It doesn't. EQ will never affect phase especially if you use it in Linear Phase mode 🙌
@@theMixElite please tell me what's linear mode?
@@theMixElite ahahah it make sense only if u produce a song with 4-5 tracks, this tips is only for newbie who started producing 5min ago
Yeah do this if you want to make a mess of your music, probably better to leave the mixing and mastering tips to engineers pal
This is not right
do 20 better
