Awwww.....what a BEAUTIFUL beast.....he has the sweetest most expressive puppy dog eyes....
He still thinks he’s a puppy. Unless the girl dogs are walking by, then he’s a big stud.
Those eyes of Akela’s are so expressive. And he knows how to use them to get what he wants. Beautiful place to camp, even in the drizzle. Safe travels!
Ya, it rained the entire trip except during the eclipse! I love when that happens like that. Rain doesn’t bother us.
Army Corps of Engineers campgrounds are usually really well thought out. But I camped at Santa Rosa Lake State Park, NM last weekend in my Aliner, at a primative site. The site was so unlevel that I had to use four legos on the door side. This made it quite a workout to step-up. My quads and glutes are still sore from that trip! I brought my own water and a generator, so I had all the comforts of home (like AC and a shower). But here's the good part: the site only cost $10.00 per night, and I was about 130 yards from the restrooms (with running water)!
Always nice to have your own water. I like to know that the water I have I can taste and drink. The Rend lake campsites I stayed at with water and electricity were only nine dollars.
@@GoingNoWhereFast- Don’t you use the bathroom in your trailer?
We went to Hagan Stone Park for the Memorial holiday. And I was going to take a shower and he said (Honey do you remember what Mr. Rick said about the bathhouse) i started laughing 😃 he enjoyed watching your videos. We both agree you look and laugh just my doctor. Always be blessed and safe 🙏 and happy, happy camping 🏕 travels ✨️ ❤️
Ha ha ha. I should have been a doctor’v😛
Room to spread out at these sites......and Room to play! I was able to visit downtown Nashville in 2019, continuous party town for sure........
It all depends on where you go! But fun to visit once!
State parks are the best my first choice for campgrounds. Whole lot better then those I call Vegas campgrounds. Tooo much going on for me thanks again
Well, these are all federal campgrounds. Mostly army Corps of Engineers. So their government campgrounds well laid out, well spaced. And just a little bit cheaper.
Oh yeah Mr. Rick my hubby bear 🐻 after watching your videos we finally got a camper 😅. Give Akela a big hug from me maybe we'll get to see each other. We're in Winston Salem NC
That is awesome! Definitely grab me if you see me out camping. What did you get ??
Howdy, Rick!! Glad to see that Akela is doing fine!! That takes care of the really important stuff.. besides the review of the showers!!
Actually, this is a very nice campground, and the lake is a cool added bonus.. Thanks for taking us along, my Friend!
My pleasure as always, Pete. I have some really lousy campsites coming up though so be prepared.
Always enjoy your blogs and please keep them coming. We recently visited Cades Cove after you posted your experience there. We saw lots of bear mama's with their cubs on the loop. Thank you!
@@craigcardwell4143 Yes!!! We went too early, on our way to the Eclipse. I'll be going again in July! Just bored I guess!
Love you 2 ...😊
Akea just needs more Hugs and Kisses in Video's....❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤Awwwwh his Ball😅
I think he gets plenty. I have too much of his hair in my mouth
Hi. Jill here from "Geezers." Will put this on our list maybe for next year. Was at Stony Fork NF, recently, as I had view it on your site. Really liked it, especially my husband. That will be ready to view in a few weeks. Always enjoy your videos.
Thank Jill
You’re in our neck of the woods. We live right outside Nashville in Lebanon. Hope you have an enjoyable visit.
It was very nice. Thanks for the comment.
Looks like a great campground if you are on the “right” side! State Parks are still better than KOAs. (More room, less money). Thanks for the lists.
Yeah, I guess I’m just a grumpy old man. I don’t want my camper door facing somebody else’s camper. I want to be facing the woods and nature.
@@GoingNoWhereFast That would make an interesting poll. I like seeing trees, water if possible, no highway if possible, outside my camper door.
Lol i saw a man Walking 2 Shepard puppies today Akela's Mini me pups
...So Cute❤
Ha ha. I agree, very cute 😊
Poor Akela. You treat him terribly. Nothing but skin, bones, and fur. I'm kidding of course. I think you just have to realize that he's the star of the show and everyone worries about him. So I wouldn't sweat the comments. Nice sunset at the end. Not for anything but my list of campgrounds to visit is getting very long because of you. I guess I'll just have to keep camping until I can't camp anymore.
Right now, I’m up in New York, camping in the New York State Parks. I’ll have some campgrounds here. I won’t recommend. So it won’t hit your list in the next couple videos.
Nice camp ground! Have a yahoo adventure w/o leaving your camper. Drop a deuce in your very own wonderful toilet with an equally wonderful shower where you don't have to constantly keep pushing the button. I can understand not doing that for one night tho.
Have you take a shower in an RV, most likely you have to keep turning the water on and off or you’ll run out of water pretty quick. After all, it’s only a 6 gallon hot water tank.
@@GoingNoWhereFast Yes, the wife and I take showers in our RV. You have to take a Navy shower. I bought a shower head with an on off switch. The hot water in them is 120 degrees. You'll be using more cold than hot. There's nothing like taking a pee in your own pot @ 2 am in the warmth.
@@bertkelly7650- I totally agree. By the time you get up and walk all that way & back. You are wide awake.
Poor Akela. It’s hard being a baby. Looks like a nice campground. I wonder if the price differences involve different concessions running the campgrounds. At Shawnee National Forrest here in Illinois the campgrounds are privately operated. We appreciate the videos!
Absolutely. Concessionaires find ways to make more money than they are supposed to.
