    This is more involved than I imagined. I had no idea the turbo and down pipe have to come out too. Might be more than a day project for me in the driveway.

    Since it’s a WRX isn’t the consensus that an equal length is much better for the fa engines; performance wise?

    You technically don’t have to take off the j pipe from the turbo. Just drop the turbo with the j pipe still attach.

    • @SubiSpeed
      @SubiSpeed  Před 3 lety

      If you're doing this by yourself in your garage, you're going to want to take the j-pipe off so you don't have a massive assembly to hold onto when you're dropping the header/turbo.

    • @clintonholl2493
      @clintonholl2493 Před 3 lety +2

      @@SubiSpeed I almost found it easier because it gave you a place to lift the whole assembly up and I put a jack stand under the j pipe to help hold the whole assemble up when I was reinstalling. I think it beats having problems with the studs.

    @mikecrean6168 Před 2 lety

    Did you see any signs of heat effecting any plastic bits or hoses with the UEL or these headers? Would you suggest any wrap or shielding? I would rather not, being in the Northeast and having rain, snow and salt a factor, but I also didn't see anything too close that shielding the header might help, but maybe Heatshield Armor on top to try and keep heat out of the engine bay?

    Thank you for the install guide. Looks like a great quality product. For me the 30 hp is just not worth losing the subi rumble. So for me tomei uel is in my future. My advise dont waste your money on an header if its just another equal length. The money is better invested, or just on another other mod really.
