This track was used in episode 24 of Tenchi Universe. Other people have uploaded it with the title "Autumn of Life"

good research, I didn't catch that. I originally found it was composed by Seikou Nagaoka in 1994 so I assumed it was from the tail end of OVA-2's production.

NightowlStudio just want to point out that I didn’t say that this track was only used in Universe. My Tenchi knowledge is not comprehensive enough to know every instance it was used

that's true....the song is also known as Autumn Of Life....when i first heard the song it was during episode 24 of tenchi universe when ryoko dropped tenchi, azaka and kamidake off where ayeka was being held hostage before drifting off to who knows where in space while giving the impression of having died
