They created their version from the original by Maggie Reilly (the voice on Mike Oldfield's 'Moonlight Shadow')- the verses are reworded but the chorus and the tune are from the original she wrote with Ian McKillop and Ian Risavy back in 1992 if I recall correctly. Admittedly, the EC boys have done an amazing version of Cascada's reworking but thought I'd give a shout out to the original creators ;)
I mean, where do we draw the line between sampling (via recreation) and a cover, usually for a cover it isn't just taking the chorus of the song. But hey, that is an argument we can make whether the Cascada version is a cover or not, this is certainly a cover of the Cascada version.
