I am rediscovering my cultural heritage i have never noticed before - our folk dance tradition is never boring. The same story but countless ways of storytelling. What is amazing for the world is the complex yet graceful choreography Having travelled the world and witnessed others’ cultural performances, makes me proud of our versatility….. kudos to the participants!!!! You remind us to be proud of our roots despite of blatant corruption in all levels….. You bring hope to a dying love…..
Napapaluha ako sa tuwa sa tuwing nakikita kong ang Bayang kong Sinilangan ay sadyang napakaunlad sa kultura nito at mayroon pang nagpapahalaga at nagpapayaman ng diwang Pilipino. Mabuhay ang Pilipinas!!! 😂👍👏👏
hindi po tayo mahirap na bansa. Dahil unang panahon pa lamang ay may mga datu at raha na tayong nanunugkulan. Nakakapagpalitan pa tayo ng mga kalakal noon pa man sa mga dayuhan may mga ginto din tayo at pilak. Nabubuhay din tayo kahit tayoy asa Probinsiya dahil tayoy mayaman sa likas na yaman,na hindi umaasa sa rasyon mula sa ating gobyerno. Pero nakakagalak isipin dahil may mga mananayaw pa rin tayong bumubuhay sa ating mga kulturang sayaw.
Correction, Singkil is NOT a Muslim dance. It's loosely based on the Maranao epic, Darangen which in turn was based on the Ramayana (which is definitely not Muslim!). In the original Singkil, there are no umbrellas and if I am not mistaken, there's only one bamboo pole. It's usually only danced by royals (so no attendants).
Bayanihan implies an innate character of Filipinos in a community to join hands in helping each other in times of need/crisis. It is exemplified in transporting a small wooden or bamboo house to another place by a joint force of male populace, carrying it on their shoulders. That is bayanihan in the sense.

ayaw ko po sanang umangal kaso parang minamadali nila yung singkil e. mapapansin mo yan pag tiningnan mo yung mga lumang videos ng bayanihan. but anyways congratulations po sa mga nanalo at sana magbigay pa po kayo ng maraming karangalan sa bansa.
