KirbyKid is the absolute GOAT. He's a great example of how you can succeed with any character you want if you put in the work, at least to some extent.

@@pandoraschill3896 yeah, although he does share that quality with alot of the lower mid tier characters, they do tend to be new player killers lol, and yeah k rool can be hella cheesey, but when his matchups are bad, they are BAD
I'd say Falcon is a near impossible match-up for K Rool, but yeah.

As a fan of the Dk series, I am not exaggerating when I say I bought this game only for King K. Rool.
Sounds like DK fans. They used to be one of the most cynical fans out there until they got a few more games in the 10s. Now I think they're being supplanted by the StarFox fans.

Same. I am primarily a PC gamer but had a SNES when I was younger with all the DK Country games. Despite getting frustrated when I lost games in my youth I never quit DK even though I was bad. I bought a switch for Mario and Zelda. DIdn't feel keen on Smash because I am not big into fighting games until I saw the big ko... uh, kroc. I kind of thought the series was forgotten about. Growing up I heard nobody talk about it until pretty recently. Hope K. Rool continues to show up in Smash games or better starts showing up in Donkey Kong games.

I love playin some K.rool! Me and my friend found a hilarious duo's combo, both K.rool. it's a 0 to death lol! You or you teammate dies. As one of you comes back in on the angel platform the other is directly beneath the angel platform. Up throw opponent, throws them rite above the person on the angel platform. Then rite when they get there up B. Takes them directly off the top.

@12:52 vendetta went for up tilt prox jab shoryu but Ken's prox jab is wonky sometimes and k rool was apparently a little too far away so heavy jab(I think it's called that) came out instead and you can't cancel That move into shoryu. The same thing happened again at 14:25

People really thought Kirby kid was gonna flop after the online era😂
Vendetta's Shoryuken cross-up at ledge was the optimal choice, I believe. Shoryu at ledge usually risks a SD. Crossing it up seems much safer.
One thing that KirbyKid (and many good K.Rool's) excels at is using late hits of FAir and Nair to combo into other moves. You see here NAir into DA , but there is also FAir into Dash Grab (which, surprisingly, KK has missed a few times) among other things.
Also, as certain someone has put it: getting good with K.Rool is basically going from "spam crown and down smash" to "spam FAir".:P

Kid is taking WiFi options. When he adapts his options to offline he will get better results.
@@_mipp Rather than "taking", it was more "took it at this tournament". KK doesn't even play Wifi that much (if at all), but he admitted he had some wifi-like plays (particulary against wrath).
Also, im still upset about g5 vs Myran. Such a good start for KirbyKid and... welp, things happened. Oh well, nerves i guess.

We have a few good K Rools at my locals, one that often wins or is top 3 and now I have PTSD of the DAMN K Rool's Dash attack.
been a k.rool main but ive never gone to tournaments and such, very nice seeing someone who can stir the pot a bit for my big green friend

imagine the best player in your region is a krool. I would be coming back from my weeklies with tears streaming down my face everytime
K rool has to be a lot better now than release. The big lug has gotten so many good buffs across the game's lifespan, it's hard to beleive he's unviable anymore.

Sharp messing up avoiding the crown with throw armor waaaay too much
It seems like he went for a lot of grabs that didn't actually beat crown armour bc KirbyKid knew he could mash out before the crown arrived (sharp wants the crown to arrive so he can go through it with s)

How does armadillo cancel his aura charge so fast. You dont even see the shield half the time
If you press the shield button and release within 3 frames I believe, it cancels the aura without having the shield animation. Allowing for quick mix-ups like forcing the opponent to shield and quickly canceling the aura to run up and side-B
@@JYB_Golf22 yes you don't need to shield to cancel charge animations. Just gotta lightly tap the shield button.

How to beat K Rool's side B: roll/jump behind him and punish it before the crown returns
One other good one is jumping over the crown and then grabbing him, wait for the crown to come back and then throw

KK farms our region with K. rool. For a long time i just thought our region was bad, but Kirbykid is just godlike.
I don't understand. When I'm KKR, and someone grabs me, the crown never hits them on the way back. But in that middle match, Joker gets hit wtf @9:15
