  • Our afternoon (early October) visit to the amazing Alnwick Gardens in Northumberland. Designed by the Duchess of Northumberland it's a constantly evolving and innovative water garden too!

Good video. Beautiful place. Not a traditional garden and doesn't pretend to be, but a gardening spectacle all the same.

Thank you! It's a shame I missed filming in the poison garden - hey ho! 👍

Yes, there are some new water features and the Tree House is a restaurant and wedding venue too. Cheers!

Hello! This castle is a building site at the moment! It's not worth visiting at the moment! An entrance fee of 20 Pounds and the missing permission of taking photos in the inside are two more reasons not to visit this place! ;-) Greetings Renate and Olaf #Trackbreaker

Hi, Yes you're right, it was covered in scaffolding when we visited Alnwick last autumn 2021. However, we did not visit the castle only Alnwick gardens which is a separate venue and what my video is about. Cheers!

Just visited the gardens today and there is still scaffolding around. How long do they need

@@yodenman I guess you mean around the castle? We were there in October 2021, so yes it's an extensive project I guess!
