I was in the 4756 Drone Sqd at Tyndal AFB in 1964-66 and this launch site reminds me of the one at Tyndall. We used the Ryan Firebee II in those days. Very exciting time for me working in the drone sqd then.
This is the coolest drone I've ever seen. Its so brilliant and genius with the design and aerodynamics of it. It would be super cool to see 1 of these turned into a RC jet for fun to fly at demonstrations.
One of these washed up on a beach today somewhere in california I believe

Well Damn I need one of these for my rc car🏎🏁🔥
It has a slight resemblance to an F-104 Starfighter.
Some beach goers just found one that washed up on shore in the north shore of Oahu, Hawaii. There’s was a hole on right side of the tail.

shoutoout to V1 and the german ww2 scientists
Shout out to the American and British forces that destroyed the Third Reich, and captured many of those scientists.
Looks pretty low tech for this day and age. It was propelled for just a little while and the rest of the short journey is just like paper airplane. Defense contractors like Boeing love them as they set very low bar for target acquisition and destruction. I would bet that the development of these took tens of millions and with volumes of MIL-SPEC and employs an army of paper pushers.
Lmao. One crashed in my backyard today😅
