For real. I remember when I moved to Texas, the school I went to was recently built. About 1-2 years before I attended. It already had a few holes in the wall because of students.
i had a friend who’d take girls to places like these to save money on a love hotel experience, i imagine a place like this in america would be similar to that lol
I will say though, the Little Free Library project throughout the US has so far been a huge success and proves that yes, Americans can have nice things. Look it up.

@@DimakSerpg i been of one of these in japan and theres a little corner for english translated manga. But only a shelf worth of manga. I guess its good for a couple of visits at best.

There’s a damn shower and laundry room in some of them…….you can literally live there……..of course there are limits but damn are they good

What I realize after spending a few months in japan is that it's a paradise for rich introverts.

In my city there’s a small manga cafe, but not like in Japan where you have your private space it’s pretty much like Starbucks but with a bunch of manga, some board games and a lot of anime mercy on display + on sale, it’s close to a big university so around after school times 4:00pm it gets really crowded then dies down by 6:00pm or so
this would be amazing to have in my country, but we barely have manga stores here to begin with lol
I think I went to that exact cafe!! My sister and I stayed overnight because our flight got in early and our Airbnb wasn’t ready. Definitely appreciated the drink bar and TONS of Mangas! What’s your favorite?

at least you could look up a (cough cough) Totally Legitimate translation of the manga you want to read on the computer instead. the 3 dollars for unlimited drinks for an hour is worth it on its own, so, still better than doing that exact same thing at home. lol

We have something similar in our Barnes and Noble’s we have Starbucks in there and we could read manga or any other book while we’re there

This cafe sounds like heaven… i really need to touch up on my kanji before i plan a trip to japan though. I can only really read hiragana, katakana, and some kanji.

We have something really similar here in france. But its a common room ! We get free drinks and you can even snack. Its a little more expensive, i think 4-5 euros per hour but it's still fun and you can buy some nice stuff

@Madison Wage english translations can be bought for most mangas. So they do that all the time, its just good bussiness. But of course they wont include entire english collections in these cafés because it would take too much space just to please tourists.

when I was 14, I helped my dad and get allowance around 5000¥ per month, I always saved up for something, when I finished school, I sometimes go to manga cafe and read manga or browse internet to relax or do homework
Imagine getting some headphones, your favorite drink, your favorite manga, and listening to some music while you read. Sounds relaxing but we can't have this where I live cause of some crazy mfs.
