Candiace’s “change” comes from seeing that she was being used by people for moments. She knew they would provoke her so she’d give her honest, hurt responses and get called a villain. That’s what she means when she says she noticed people weren’t being real. She recognized who people really are and is acting accordingly.
Yes, Candiace hasn't really changed. I love how authentic she has always been since day one. She might have decided to not let the other ladies get under her skin as much but she's still the same girl that always wanted to become a singer.

Candiace shines during interviews, she's at her best. Candiace has been the same since season three her first scene. This was a great interview 😊.

Loved Candiace since day 1. She’s so relatable and aspirational. I enjoyed Archie asking about being emotional. Sensitivity is often a sign of high intelligence - particularly emotional intelligence

I can’t lie season 5 was the only season where I didn’t like Candiace but this season I grew to love her and I’m really proud of how she carried herself this season
If you go back and rewatch you will probably see that Monique was the problem, not Candiace.

@@RNM-bu4rj AGREED!!! I remember while watching that season, actually thinking, “wow, Candiace is showing so much growth here.” Because every time Monique would try to provoke her or get a moment out of her, she would walk away. Monique was looking for a moment and Candiace was an easy target
Chris did ask to talk with Gizelle inside her room. Do any of you really think he planned to discuss his marriage in front of hair and makeup staff? Robyn was closer to Candiace, and Gizelle made it very clear she was not happy with Candiace's aggressive behaviors that season at the reunion. Why ask Gizelle anything? Chris admitted Gizelle told him she was uncomfortable that night and asked him to leave. Robyn admitted Gizelle told her the same that night. Gizelle kept her mouth shut until Ashley's allegations. Ashley brought it up on camera first to Robyn. I believe Robyn told her about Gizelle's issue. Then Robyn goes to Gizelle on camera and tells her of Ashley's allegations. Before Gizelle sad a word to Candiace on camera, there were 2bdiscussions about Chris, none of which she initiated. What lie did Gizelle tell? Chris confirmed she wasn't lying. Mia and her friend also said he was flirtatious with them. Showing two seconds of film is hardly proof he didn't stare, even though I would find it unlikely he'd stare at Mia's friend if he saw her face first. Ashley is the one that recruited additional accusers.
We never learned what happened with Michael and the cameraman. Karen is an alcoholic, she has crashed cars, lost her license and per Charisse is known for being promiscuous, not unusual for an alcoholic. Until the final episodes we never heard about any of it. Seeing as Karen now has her license, her issues spanned years. Any time she had a drink on the show and drove she was a risk to the public's safety. Noone talks about her son that was born years before she met Ray. Was he at their vowel renewal? Who's his father? Ray is worth $40 million he would not have needed to borrow a penny from Karen to pay his taxes. Funny Ray went from not being sure if he loved Karen to a vow renewal ceremony very quickly.
We didn't know Monique had been homeless and broke up Chris's engagement. We didn't know Katie had substance abuse issues. Ashley has lied for years. She antagonized the hell of Candiace and then wrote a letter in support of Monique even though she hadn't seen the vicious attack. The things Karen has said about and/to Gizelle, I would've outed her her long ago.
None of them are angels.
Noone on the show has been transparent. If I were Robyn, I wouldn't hsve brought it up either.
I don't think any of the housewives fully divulge the good, the bad and the ugly, nor should they on national television.
I rarely watch podcasts but this was entertaining

Candiace has not changed. I think people were jealous of her because she comes from money and none of the other women do or did.
Her family helped her financially as any good family should want to. The other ladies were absolutely jealous because they had to be with men to gain that same level of security.

Good interview, but Candiace is being disingenuous. She is very different this season, in a good way. In prior yrs, she has been violent, confrontational, & colluded with others to ice out a castmate. She still has difficulty accepting responsibility for her words & actions. But, she has grown this season.

Honestly wasn’t a fan of Candice in the beginning. I didn’t feel bad for her when Monique dragged her, however I am now a fan of her growth and maturity this season.

Her mouth is literally still reckless. Her edit is just different this season and her responses vary depending on her relationship with the person she is fighting with.
