subaru messed up the forester model, it went from a sort of performance oriented station wagon that competed with the station wagon mitsubishi and evo in relation to the sti and wrx. they switched from that to a crossover that is in the come group as a rav 4 and the rest and with a cvt!!!. they should have left the forester as is and updated the safety, infotainment system and such and come up with a new model to compete in that cross over category. good review as always.
Unsurprisingly, that shift has seen them sell more Forester's than ever before. Makes business sense to them, they'll go that way. Besides, it's what their primary market wants.
@@topnineshow 100% true, as with pretty much every motor vehicle company, once the economies of scale and profit margins become front and centre for decisions, such is bound to happen. all in all i really enjoy your episodes, id like to request if possible to do a diesel vs petrol comparison for example the nissan patrol y62 vs a toyota vx 200 series diesel given that the patrol is only available in petrol. such a comparison in relation to the kenyan market, for example not alot of people know that what they save on diesel consumption they more than make up for in service and cost of ownership, for your consideration kindly. all in all great in depth reviews and great show. cheers.

Outback has more powerful engine,and a bigger body,both in length and width,but Forester is taller by 2inches
