2023 Sidney BC Canada Day Parade Pipes and Drums

Every Canada Day Sidney BC (on Vancouver Island) hosts its parade, usually lead by the Saanich Peninsula Pipe Band. This year pipers and drummers joined from other Victoria area bands including Castle Cary Pipes and Drums, 443 Squadron Pipes and Drums (Marine Helicopters of the RCAF), 78th Fraser Highlanders, and the C Scots R Association Band (linked with the Can Scottish Regiment of the Canada Armed Forces). This massed band of 20 pipers and 7 drummers includes civilians and serving members, novice and experienced, older and not so older players. A little background is given to the tunes, some may not be as familiar to you. We are led by a few young dancers of the Victoria Highland Dancing Association.
