Bladee lyrics take awhile to understand but he's very poetic actually and pretty good at using emotive language

His lyrics are incredible and heavily influenced by important literature, I was fuming when I heard "not a lyricist", just cause his lyrics are unique it does not mean he isn't an amazing lyricist
There is a really interesting lyric in Blue Crush Angel that i really appreciate it
‘Still the same, but I grew up, up from whatever that was’
‘Still the same me, don't touch, dream in a dream, into dust’
The first part refers to how bladee often talks about how much he dosent like much of his older music anymore due to its themes of drug abuse, self harm and overall promoting a unhealthy lifestyle and negative mindset. In the lyric he says he grew up from whatever that was which sounds like he isn’t about it all anymore
However the next line has two references, one to his 2014 single ‘into dust’ which initially put him on the radar in the underground and the other to a lyric in his 2016 song ‘who goes there’ that lyric being ‘no touching, i find it digusting’
i really appreciate this because he’s acknowledging his past music and it’s negatives but still never forgetting that era of his life and the impact it had on shaping him, He’s the same him, just changed for the better

I agree with this so heavily because there is such a massive difference in his old and newer music and people never seem to praise how much he grew as a person. At first I disliked a lot of bladee's old music for the same reason he's ashamed of it but it all grew on me. I still can't deny I prefer all his newer stuff to his old stuff but he for sure had such a major transformation as an artist and person so his music as a whole feels like an entire journey.

Bladee lyrics are incredible and actually original, it bridges a gap between important literature and urban music that makes for a great, fresh experience not many rappers can match

btw most off bladees songs are produced by one guy named whitearmor, they are good long time friends and their philosophy musically and even spiritually align so much that every project they make sound so perfect and complete in my opinion

Loved the reaction but what your viewers had to say about bladee fans is kinda false or atleast hyperbolized. Theres bad/toxic bladee fans but you can say that with every artist. Ill also say that most bladee/drain fans dont complain/act toxic to criticism towards bladee because more than likely they hated bladee when they listened the first time as well.
Exactly. I totally understand why people don't like Bladee, they just need time to get used to his sound. I didn't dislike his music on first listen, I thought it's just mid, but now he's my all time favorite artist. Something incredible, can't even explain this. His music is just so emotional and addictive, goofy but deep at the same time, it gets better and better with every listen. Best artist of this generation fr

bladee has only been on the more upbeat, happy stuff for really the last 3-4 years. before that it was definitely more melancholic as he the and whole drain gang/sad boys clique (especially around 2014-15) were struggling with substance abuse. It would be interesting for you to check out some other projects from him as he varies his sound a lot between each record
