yeah man the suits were honestly the show's downfall; I don't even dislike CGI, but the reason I stuck around was the 2D fights on episodes 1-3, it's what the show sold itself on and what they should've built upon, not the CG suits
They really took the "ninja" out of the title
I haven't been this let down by mech suits since Pacific Rim 2

@@anubisshadowreaper8808 the animation was fine when they did it and didn't use the cgi mechs but I'm also talking about the story direction. There's no real nuance and they drop off ppl so fast before they build. There's just a lot of issues I feel

Honestly it feels like they added the suits to the story last minute. Its like someone just liked mech suits and shoved them into the narrative. then they had to adjust the entire story and it caused things to feel disjointed. This would probably also explain why they are cg in the first place. They didn't have the time to animate them in 2d. in none of the promo material or early clips( that came out like a year or 2 ago) did i see them have these suits.Overall I'm very disappointed in this show and your reactions are the only the reason I pay it any attention at all at this point. Y'all are fun to watch as always and I'm so sorry y'all had to endure this.
Nah, they’re probably CG cause they realized they didn’t have the budget to do their best animation for the whole season. I imagine they’ll use their good scenes to use as leverage in order to get higher budgets for their future projects.
@@kingintox5743 I mean that is also a possibility but even if thats the case, it still feels like they were added in last minute writing wise. if you take away the suits you lose absolutely nothing from the story. they hyped it up as this integral piece to the plot but nothing interesting is really done with it.

That being said, he's got to go.
I feel like its important to mention the studio has a very limited budget and not alot of animators so thats why all tge episodes were mappa tier animation so we we shouldn't be to harsh on them cause we've seen what they are capable of so im excited to see what they will do in the future with a bigger budget and more animators
nobody is complaining about the animation. Like Roshi said, the story is disjointed and all over the place. They hyped the mechs up so much and they weren't even significant to the storyline. Whatever happened to them saying how the more you visualize your moves the stronger the suit is going to be, or something like that? Mech literally lasted like 1 1/2 episodes and that was it. If they would've kept the series like the first 3 to 4 episodes literally NO ONE would be complaining right now.

Let this series be a lesson to all: DO NOT over hype a series if you're not gonna ride with it until the final episode. Just about everyone & their grandparents were gawking the first episode spreading it all everywhere recommending it. Keep the same energy when that very series is "falling off".

I ask people what specifically is 'bad' about the show. It's usually the 'mech animation is bad' or 'the story is basic'.
My reply is to the former is 'Can you point to specific frame rate drops or chopy animation?' and to the latter; it was set up as revenge story, you have to admit that did not entail more than a straightforward story.
The replies have been...expected. I'm looking for something tangible that could change my mind and i definitely dont think it's perfect.

They say the mech animation is bad because the 2D ninja fights look objectively better. And yes, it’s a revenge story which started as one man against a large organization of trained ninja, to now being random police shit and mechs for no reason. You could literally go from like the first episode to the last episode and you’d barely even be lost.

The theme of the show is about how the ninja are becoming obsolete so had to adapt or die. It doesn't make sense to have fight scenes would remain the same, so yeah another person who hasn't been paying attention and projecting distaste.

And the audience it got were people who like Ninjas, nice animation, hand to hand combat and a revenge story. It's their own fault for drawing in the wrong audience.
