It's not called overlap as the cutting blade must not exceed the back blade. Instead it's called zero gapped as you bring the cutting blade closer to the back blade leaving approx 1mm gap to ensure you get crispy line ups.

Hab auf zerolap eingestellt, aber das Ding schneidet ins Fleisch, obwohl ich sogar die Vorrichtung habe für das einstellen. Gibts Tipps? Habs auch auf dem Tisch versucht damit es bündig ist. Irgendwie gehts nicht. Musste wieder auf ganz runter stellen….

what blade should i use for long thick bulky hair. I would like to do my own hair, but then i need a new oster 10 clipper. I had a old dull budget clipper with fade handle on it, but newer used it.

Unfortunately not. It's for the regular blade, not for the t-blade.

Where can we purchase this tool? I bought it on Amazon a couple of years back, but now I can't get it anywhere. I see that the black detailers come with one, but I have a new pair of burgundy ones, and they come with the 5 star blade.

Hallo Lip Hop, nein das Tool ist nicht mit dem T-Blade kompatibel. In der Verpackung ist dieses Tool nur bei dem orifinalen Detailer enthalten (Detailer ohne T-Blade)
@@WAHLClippersEurope Ist denn so ein Tool für den "Großen" angedacht? Ist es notwendig für einen guten "Zero Gap"? Eig kann ich ja das Schneidwerk hochkant auf eine gerade Unterfläche stellen und alles festschrauben, müsste doch auch passen...

@@LipHop22 Genau! Jedoch musst du wirklich aufpassen, dass dir der Schneidsatz nicht verrutscht. Sonst kann es sein dass das Messser über dem Kamm steht und das führt zwangsläufig zu AUA.

What is the meaning to do that
Means it cuts closer !! Like a closer shave but not as close as a shaver or a straight razor. The key is to not get the moving blade overlapping the guard cause it'll cut the skin ! See the detail shot at the end of the video
yeah but its so close that it still damages the skin
its a setting more catered to professional barbers, that zero overlap is great for lining and fading bald. the zero gap will wipe out any fade lines super close.

What’s the point of zero gap
With the zero gap adjustment, you can get even closer to the skin. But you need to be very careful while using the clipper.
Ist es von Anfang an nicht so scharf? Muss ich es also erst einstellen vor der Rasur für größte Präzision?
Es geht hierbei nicht um die Schärfe sondern um die Schnittlänge. Je näher das Messer am Kamm ist, desto kürzer schneidet das Gerät.
Also, dann sind noch feinere Konturen möglich? Vielen Dank, werde das dann ebenfalls so einstellen.
Im Grunde genommen schneidet die Maschine dann schärfer. Um deine Frage zu beantworten: Ja! :)

my wahl trimmer getting hot after 15 minute used,any advise.thks.
Switch it off every time you don't use it to let it cool down as much as possible. don't keep it on while doing something else. Only thing you can do is this. Don't modify it to cause it'll get dirty inside for nothing cause the ventilation you'd get is not worth it
Your trimmer is probably not oiled well enough. I cut my son's and my hair, and the clippers usually don't get hot after doing both of our heads.

What's the name of the tool he's using??
This tool is only availalble for the older detailer version. There is no such tool for the T-Blade. We are sorry.
@Johnny Doeboy The website you refer to shows the same alignement tool which comes with the original first detailer. There is no alignment tool for the newer T-Blade.

Wo kann ich das Werkzeug erwerben. Und gibt´s das auch für den MagicClipper?
Das Werkzeug ist aktuell nur für den normalen Detailer verfügbar.

@@jaggerman91 Das Tool wird gar nicht einzeln verkauft da es im Lieferumfang (WAHL Detailer 08081-016) dabei ist.

Gibt es das Tool mitlerweile für den Wide Detailer?
Geübte Barbiere / Friseure können dadurch noch kürzer trimmen. Das Plastiktool gibt es noch nicht für den Wide Detailer, wir liefern aber in den kommenden Tagen eine Anleitung für die Zero Overlap Einstellung ohne das Plastiktool. :-)
+Wahl GmbH kann man das plastik tool kaufen bin barbier und brauche das tool umbedingt um noch kürzer zu trimmen
