From 2010 to 2020 terminal cancer pain prescriptions were cut by 34% while during the same period ER admissions by that same patient group increased by 50%. Where I live in Texas while the state maintains their new laws do not affect chronic or cancer pain patients but as a retired Pharmacist with a back injury and advanced Prostate cancer I can tell you that's not true. The county DA's here are very aggressive and have everyone scared to death. Neither Methodist Hospital or Texas Oncology will prescribe or use any opioids for anyone. In my opinion, after watching the opioid crisis from the beginning this is all political because these institutions think they're gonna earn brownie for reducing the rx count but experience tells me they will not. Failing to treat terminal cancer patients along the NCCN guidelines is immoral and unethical and in my opinion should be illegal. Let's face it, doctors killed 60,000 people. Then they made medical errors the 3rd leading cause of death, the highest error rate in the world and now they want to deny grandma pain relief on her death bed. It's really time for a complete overhaul of our country's medical system.

Get alot more Oxygen in your body. Look for HBOT Therapy, if you can't afford it buy a simple Ozone generator on Amazon & use it to make ozonated water, you drink 1 or 2 glasses per day.

My pain doctor is more concerned about needing Percocet than she is controlling my actual pain. Cancer patients are the ones who suffer in the end. With cancer, who cares if we depend on it. We have cancer. Pain causes a PQL!!

    Gee, a four step ladder.
I cant wait as i have stage 4 ovarian cancer or peritoneal carcinoma. Why cant they just give final pain relief? Doctors want to treat untreatable conditions. I hate the whole medical establishment.
