It's getting more and more obvious that there needs to be a way for CVs to actively play the fighter role.

Funny enough, with enough AP hits, it will still do the same damage or close to it as a citadel hit
Removing deck amor isnt as effective as it sounds, this technique doesnt work (as good) on amored carrier like the the british ones or zeppelin

Actually many many years ago it was quite usual that someone offered escort for cv with an aa cruiser.

Today even Musashi has decent AA. Mix it with the fact that a Musashi has more than 50% chance to meet a lower tier CV.. and voila the game is BROKEN

I try do the same thing in my RJ in tier 8 match in Asian server.
I spot the CV and the entire enemy, what my team did?
All of them is shooting a god damn tier 8 French DD and blaming me for not spotting and got killed by enemy CV.
I was spotting and all they have to do is shoot the damn CV and bigger ships not the French destroyer all the time.
@@ryanc00p3r3 That's why you played in division. Communication is really important to decide what's the priority target. Don't you notice in this video only Yuro and his division mates who shot at the CV?
Also, only BB with spotter plane who can reach the CV on the back of the map. Normal ship doesn't have the fire range.

Won't help, as at those ranges shells leave ricochet angle, so thicker deck means guaranteed pens instead hoping for overpen.

To be fair this is how real battles would have gone too. The CV was the primary target and the other ships had to do their best to defend and area deny.

Also that Yueyang deserves a monument dedicated to him. Not only did he smoke the CV, he also played as a proper screen ship and tanked torps.
They had to:
- remove manual control
- make auto fire extinguishers
- give it 5 seconds fires becasue reasons
- remove detonate from CVs
- make the control 1 handed
- give it unlimited planes
Just to make people play it. You can imagine what king fo "competitive" players those are ...

How are are CVs broken? I can barely score any points in my shokaku without my planes exploding before even getting close to their targets. Just nerf the hell out of American carriers and enterprise and it'll be balanced

@@comandercarnis Dude Shoukaku is harder to use than American cvs but it has a much greater damage potential. If you know how to conserve planes and choose targets carefully (which you need to do well in order to be a good shoukaku player) you will get more damage done than American cvs.

Cooldown and active period on Musashi scoutplane nerfed to be in line with other BB's.
Number of scout plane charges on Musashi reduced from 5 to 3.
Flight deck armor on all Tier 4, 6, and 8 carriers, including premiums, increased to 90 mm
Let us never forget the days, when the oppressors were laid low and we actually got to play the game
9:19 - This looked so sick from the back turret view like that, and it wouldn't have had nearly the same effect if your turrets hadn't fired in the perfect order for this shot from back to front like that. Each turret working its way farther and farther around from his bow to the juicy broadside of the ship. What a cool shot this was as we're sitting here expecting all your shells to just go through that guy's bow, but you're so close to his ship that despite being aimed at his nose the length of your ship actually came into play for once and gave your forward most turret the perfect broadside angle... Twas dope yo.
Kinda surprised you're getting this good dispersion consistently out of Musashi.

CV's are trash. And I play both. But tbh I don't play CV that much anymore. It bores me. DD is the most fun ship in wow
It is much easier to play dds and don't put your aa on if you know what to do when you played CV and DD CV counter in DD is a bit easiy trust me you need a good sense of what are CVS restrictions when coming for attack run with rockets

Just so you know, it really doesn't work as often as shown. Once in my Lexington, people tried the same thing against us. A worcester kept near me, and kept getting kills. The enemy cv lost all his planes, 2 bb's kept trying to kill me and missing, we won rather handily.
The players in this video have 70% winrate.
Thats less than half of the entire wows community.
I keep coming back to this video just to see CVS getting nuked right from the start. So satisfying!
