The problem with herbert the last 2 to 3 years is that the team relied on him to throw 40+ a game to just compete. Herbert needs a run game which ekeler did not provide and good defense support. The team is loaded on defense just poorly coached. Regarding cap, the chargers are now top 5 in space after mack and bosa salary cut and restructure. The draft is deep in WR and little to no edge. Our run game also lacked blocking TEs...it's why the TE signing are great.
Chargers would lead and blow it out because they had no run game. Herbert can make any WR look decent, his rookie year, keenan and williams were injured and Herbert won rookie of the year. 2 seasons ago, Herbert threw 500 yards to 5 different catchers. Get him nabers or odunze and another WR in rnd 4 he's good.

As a KC fan, I would be thrilled if Harbaugh traded away Herbert and drafted McCarthy

Bro your right on one thing Kalil is old but you don't trade Mack cuz it's impossible to replace 13 sacks last year. With new strength coach Bosa will return to form and not be injured anymore.. On top of the fact we can be top 5 defense now that staley is gone, and as result we don't need to light up the score board cuz the defense will play for harbaugh and never give up 60 or 30 to the raiders ever again. Now moving to the offense Williams was injury prone no matter how much I loved him, and my heart fell out of my chest when Keenan was traded. I also was like WTF how do you let that happen. But our GM offered Keenan an option to take less money and restructure his contract and listen up cuz this is how Allen got traded. The previous year he had already taken less money and restructured his contract so he already made up his mind that he was not willing to do it again. Our GM made the right decision for both us and Allen. Traded him so he gets the money he deserves, and cleared our books for the shit Telesco got us into cuz he was all bout spending to save his and Staley's job. So our GM is clearing books to allow us to be able to sign a marquee WR mid season before the deadline, an option we don't ever have available cuz Tommy boy never used that strategy. So You gotta respect the process and wait til training camp, til preseason, or hell at least week 3 or 4 before posting this video to see what our offensive actually looks like. And please don't make another video premature death call to Herberts career if we trade down and don't get Harrison JR or Malik from LSU. We can fill depth chart out and compete with KC already right now and it's bcuz of our new coach and his staff. Mahomes won the Superbowl with receivers that would be at best WR 3 if put on any other team. Herbert will find the open man, but I understand you worries and concern cuz I did think the way your thinking at first. But let me ask you one question...do you want a Justin Herbert to statistically be the one of the greatest QB ever and get the same fate as Rivers? Or do you want Herbert to be called a Superbowl champion?
All you have to do is look at the Chargers past 3 coaches resume and look at Jim Harbaugh's resume..If anything Harbaugh us going to Preserve Justin Herbert When its time for Justin to throw, he'll throw it When its time for the team to run it to preserve a lead they'll run it....Justine has been getting killed out there and didnt even finish the season last year. So i dont think running the ball is going to be all that bad for him. Its going to come down to does Justin Herbert want all the passing yards or does he want to win games. I think Justin will Choose winning over getting alot of passing yards and losing.....
They are bringing in jim harbaugh. That will do the opposite of ruining his career.
Harbaugh was suspended on the plane flight over to PSU. The main reasons JJ only passed 8 times was Chop and the other edges were around the tackles instantly, and that JH wasnt there. Moore is goijg to be a good coach, but i think if he had to replan for a situation like that they throw some hard play action in on standard downs, i think JH would have came to that soulution.

The Chargers should just start over and rebuild since Herbert can't win them the big game. If they were to find somebody of Dak's caliber when it comes to running an offense and making throws with pinpoint accuracy, they may be able to see the playoffs in a year..
