- City were beaten at the Etihad Stadium for the first time this season as Brentford's Ivan Toney scored twice including a dramatic injury-time winner.
The Bees striker had given the visitors the lead in the 16th minute before Phil Foden levelled on the stroke of half-time with a stunning equaliser.
City pushed for a winner with Joao Cancelo and Rodri forcing saves from David Raya but they were caught on the break deep in injury time when Toney swept in a late winner.
It brought an end to a run of 15 consecutive home victories in all competitions and means we will go into a break for the World Cup second in the Barclays Premier League.

Haaland, the striker, makes the run and not Stones. what does that say about his dedication?
Great play by Brentford. Even though i am a Man UTD supporter, have to admit the Quality of Man City team is unbelievable. The way they fight for the win is what differentiates Champions and players.

I can see Man City start relying on each player's quality rather than team strategy.
Instead, Brentford planned this all and maximised everything they could do with what they had.

Haaland was fast enough to literally place himself as stopper, but unfortunately due his lack of defensive experience he didn’t place himself in the way of the cross’s projected trajectory. A solid defender would’ve kicked that out at worst to a corner kick.

And to stop being predictable, anyone that has watched man city play this season knows that haaland is there just to put the ball in the net, he is a monster of a player and stopping him is far from easy, buh if u can manage to stop haaland from getting the ball, then u have shut down a major part of man city's offensive potency, whenever haaland doesn't play, it shows in their goal scoring

That should be the bare minimum, he’s a great player but let’s not just praise him for the sake of it, I’d expect that from every single player in the last minute trying to prevent a chance regardless of what position they play.
