Yeah, I have a theory that Petey’s father was abusive and he might’ve cut off the end of Petey’s tail, since he laughed after asked Lil’ Petey if Petey ever told him why his tail is flat.

Honk probably was scrapped because peinguins don’t have hands and in the backstory they played golf (the thing that made the fleas HAPPEN) so to not interfere with the backstory and also the fact that honk might interfere with storyline and cause some important moments to change (just my theory)
Actually Dog Man Was First Metonted in 1997 In the first captain underpants book it says Over the years They had created comics,Starring dozens of their own super hero’s ,First there was dog man And other characters . so that’s cool

I THINK Honk got gone because he was taking the lead, but piggy wanted to, so they just probably left Honk somewhere and he never found his way back. Who knows, maybe he will appear again in one of the books. I hope Dav Pilkey brings him back.

This was very informative, and I must admit.. I didn't know a lot of these facts, so they were really interesting. Interested to hear Pilkey speak out about why he ditched Honk the Penguin, as it would've fit into the collection of characters with Bub, Crunky and Piggy.

Did you know that in captain underpants 9, peteys design was different. His arms and legs were used to be stick lines with dots on the ends. (Plus, dogmand head was rounder and the vacuum was originally smaller)

Another fact: dogman had a tail only in 4 pages and drank wine even tho he was not supposed to.
I think I know why Petey's tail is flat. It's probably because Petey's tail had a bandage when Petey was telling what happened to him when he was younger (looking like Li'l Petey).

Dav Pilkey actually wrote stories about Dog Man as a kid. Originally, Dog Man would get struck by lightning, which would give him superpowers.

Did you know that in the 3rd book of dogman (dogman a tale of two kitties) dogman actully wears a mask while riding a motorcycle with a parashoot or something? that mask kinda looks like the mask he has in the next book (dogman and cat kid) maybe that was the inspiration´of the costume? its just a theory
I know why Peteys tail is flat: I forget where I heard it, but Petey was abused by Grandpa/his dad when he was a child. And as a punishment for doing something, his dad (grandpa) cut off the rip of his tail.

I feel like dog man is going downhill, these books are mostly about Petey's charater arc and becoming a better person. I haven't readed 20000 fleas under the sea yet so maybe this isn't the case but the newer books are becoming more of the same.

My Honk theory: Honk was going to be a part of the junior critter scouts but Petey was brought into instead of him. He got so mad that he ripped off part of Petey’s Tail

For 1:40 someone leaked the first page of a future Dogman book called “dog man: before the bone” which seemed to be a Dogman book that would reveal the unknown things that we question about. Including why Peteys tail is flat. They also leaked an image of what seemed to be young petey and young big Jim. Big Jim was asking petey if he wanted to play with him, and that’s pretty much all.

I got a theory of honk,so honk used to be friends with the fleas but one day he got sick and decided he wouldn't be in the group for years so then he got unsick then he came back with his group but he realized they were in minijail he got sad and waited but then he sees them he tries to find em but it was to late they flew away, if you dont know what im talking about im talking about the part in book 11, so honk was mad and he never saw his friends again..

Fun fact: dog man was also included in a captain underpants book called 'captain under pants and the turbo tiolet 2000' so, George and, harold make a comic for money bc there was a yesterday George and harold that went to school for them. So, george and harlod make a comic to sell on the school playground called 'super diaper baby'. Not 2 and a half, not 1, just super diaper baby. So, heres the Story.: petey(was included also) was on the news, (cus hes bad,) was going to attack super diaper baby, and his dog. Then petey shows up at the door(as a clown that was mentiond in this video, i forgot the name.) asks super diaper baby and his dog if they would like to be in his parade, they say yes and theres this big ballon petey made of super diaper baby(it was a robot) and when things go bad, petey takes off his nose, wig, makeup and clown costume. The robot holds super diaper baby and the dog, so DOG MAN comes to save the day but has a itch. He itches himself and jumps into the robots diaper and itches more so dog man's fleas will go in his diaper and make the robot itch. Then dog man saves the day in flip-o-rama and the comic ends but not the book.
