My Evo CNC hop unit was absolutely rubbish when I first installed it...after about 6 or 7 refits I finally got it to work as intended...the key to making it work right was the shims that come with it..too high or to low and you lose FPS..just right and like my Evo A1 Atek you'll hop 0.3 bbs at 280 FPS like lasers out to about 70 meters with a MR hop 60/70 bucking...
How did you know it was shimmed correctly?
@@altanis1499if I remember correctly it's got to do with the height of the shims in relation to the adjustment wheel...also just got the Maxx scorpion hop and adjustable speed trigger for my carbine Evo... haven't fitted it yet but as it comes with all the usual Maxx nubs including 6mm....it can only get Better...
@@elonearth2600 yea. Threw out that piece of garbage hop. Buying the maxx when I can.
@@altanis1499 i understand that the asg unit IS very frustrating, and i did used to say the same sort of thing to anyone who asked...But when it works it is beautiful man... The max hop is however superior due to the fact the arm works in the traditional tdc way although in my case i did notice a slight fps drop (10-15) due to how easy it is to slide the bucking in to it... (mrHop 70°2021 dmr carbine) maybe using a thicker bucking or a non silicon would remive this small difference, but for me i just lived with it...also forgot to say..
The ASG Ultimate is 100% not worth it now that the new MAXX Model Evo hop-up is out.
It's a lot cheaper and it comes pre-assembled!
I have each available hop-up installed in a separate EVO. They all are great but the MAXX wins for me.
