The bottom line is Justin wanted marriage and Selena wasn’t ready. She wanted to achieve her dreams and make a stable name for herself. Seems like Hailey was more than ready to marry Justin. She changed everything about herself to suit him… and that’s how they ended up together. Selena has stated multiple times she’s over the relationship and to treat them with kindness but it’s the fans who make up drama. And Hailey sometimes likes to stir the pot.

She was caught liking old thirst trap pics of Justin less than a year ago on TikTok, sis was LONELYYYY it was pretty pathetic but her fans buried proof of it on social media bc of how bad it made her look. She has a pattern of doing this tho, so it was really interesting to see her fans coddling her and propping up her fave mid idol and rallying the gap behind her with obviously edited clips making Hailey look pretty awful, which is not the to say she had her own agenda and is equally as messy.
i think selena didn't accept his proposal due to his cheating past and wanted him to prove himself first that he has changed, but Justin was too lazy to put in the work and since he wasn't used to being told no, he married Hailey who was always available for him to spite her. And out of this horrible breakup which I think was a reward for selena, she realised the toxicity of the relationship she was in and channeled the pain as hate towards him and started healing, because in all honesty if she were to go back to him, she would have had to downgrade herself for him like hailey does. Justin needs to get therapy asap coz he is the main culprit behind all this mess

getting married right after breaking up with someone who really had an effect on your life is so wrong. He shouldve healed first and then move on to someone else. But I feel like since he saw selena who seemed to move on quicker he might've thought "I should already move on too" everybody heals diffrently and move on in a different pace. I definitely agree and I honestly think he thought of marrying Selena more than once, at least multiple times just that Selena didn't want to get married, at least not yet. With her not being ready, I think he was definitely heartbroken but decided to go to his second choice which was, of course, Hailey and from there, he marry her. No offense, but I feel like Hailey was his second choice and I also feel that the reason why Justin was juggling between the two was that he was in love with both of them.
It's just an honest observation, but I believe this man may come to regret his decision to marry so quickly. From what I've seen, he seems unhappy with Hailey, and you can see it in his eyes. However, since he's already made the decision to get married, he might as well own up to it and take responsibility for his hasty choice. I can relate to this situation because I also got married at a young age, and for 17 years, I denied myself happiness. It ate me up inside it’s like a slow death. Until I finally made the difficult decision to leave my marriage. Sometimes, we stand by our choices because of our pride, and I see Justin in the same situation. Despite having everything, I just feel like he's not truly happy.

I recall that in 2019 Justin and Hailey gave Vogue magazine an interview and Hailey denied that she was a fan of Justin. This is what she said, “I was never a superfan, of him or of anyone,” she says. “It was never that crazed, screaming thing. I didn’t think about it in any kind of way except for the fact that he was cute” but she was following JB and Selena. Hailey is crazy!

I listened to this on my way home from work, and hearing it all compiled like this, I have this theory on what we’re seeing happening in this triangle, currently.
I think that after all the girls Justin hooked up with, whether it was simply out of spite during one of his many “breaks” from Selena, or just an attempt to fill the void in his life that the isolation of fame had produced, he finally had decided to settle down, or maybe matured enough to feel grossed out by that behavior, so he made grandiose gestures and made big promises, to try to secure their relationship once & for all. Unfortunately, from the way this played out in public, it was too little, too late. The damage was already done; the relationship badly tarnished and in disrepair. I truly don’t think he was being given a pass by Selena, for his past behavior, like he was use to being given by people on his payroll. I don’t think Selena was enamored by Justin the celebrity, she was hurting over Justin the womanizer, who was no more than an attractive, talented guy she fell head over heels for as a young girl. Where the world would easily be star struck by just the sound of his name, she was that grounding presence that reminded him of his beginnings and kept him humble. Even though during those years, he became anything but humble. Selena clearly wasn’t taking his change of tune for anything more than face value, and wasn’t jumping at the chance to marry him, just because he made a snap decision to change his ways.
Justin has lived the majority of his formative years having been adored worldwide. The magnitude of his fame, incomparable. Even at his worst, he wasn’t expected to be the best version of himself, for anyone. They loved him even when he gave half assed performances, showed up late, or not at all, and behaved embarrassingly, and acted like less than a gentleman. But Selena held him to a standard that was real. A standard built on what a heart needs to thrive, not as a fan girl, lost in a moment where his mere presence made her giddy. There was no more novelty in that relationship. He either needed to prove his worthiness to be by her side, or step out of the way so she didn’t waste anymore time on his games. He didn’t know how to step up to the plate and be this man she expected, because honestly, he’s never been made to, so why start now? He had all the money and fame he could ever want, but this was completely worthless when it came to using his star power to win her over. And at this point, well into full on adulthood, he was very use to using fame as a crutch when his lack of character left him stumbling.
Fame of any magnitude is abnormal.
His level of fame was and still can be a beast to be reckoned with.
One can’t help but empathize with how he found himself struggling to cope, when he’s off the stage.
It’s isolating & smothering.
It makes you disproportionately wealthy, but yet can cost you absolutely everything, leaving you emotionally bankrupt.
It gave him a massive ego, but also an unhealthy self awareness that comes with living in the fame “fishbowl”
He wasn’t use to being told “no”, or to being given ultimatums. He wasn’t use to experiencing real consequences for one’s actions, or having a woman hold him to a higher standard if he wanted to really be with her. He wasn’t use to being doubted, and made promises without any truth to back them up, time and time again. I think he truly wanted Selena to let bygones be bygones. Not because he hated having hurt her & wanted to grow past that, but because he wanted to put it in the past in order to have his way & she wasn’t going to let him off the hook so easily. I think that coming to this realization made him lash out & resort to the “other women” card he always pulled, to tug at her heart strings, maybe to hurt her enough that she would resort to giving in, out of fear she’d lose him. That fear of losing him no longer outweighed the fear she’d lose herself instead.
Times had changed. And this time, instead of winning by way of manipulation, Selena could finally see this behavior for exactly what it was…it was an old, tired routine & she was finally over the childish behavior & the toxic ways in which he would seek out to hurt her, when he didn’t get what he wanted, exactly when, where & how he wanted it, like an overgrown spoiled man-child.
Justin has been too famous, for too long & he’s got a hell of an ego to show for it. Despite the fact that he seems to recognizes it now more than he did when all of this transpired, the fact of its presence remains.
I don’t think he wanted to wait or put in the work to truly repair his broken relationship & he certainly didn’t want to be made to prove his intentions were genuine by showing changed behavior. When being made to put words to action & prove that his change of character was not just an afterthought, or made on a whim, he took off once again. I’m sure he thought she’d give, but instead what he got was just the opposite. Selena didn’t give in this time, so true to his nature of needing instant gratification, he went and married someone else, to spite the woman he truly loved. I think he assumed the expectations with Hailey would be different. Maybe less complex. It was obvious that the repairs needed in this new relationship were far less than those of the decade long toxic yo-yo relationship between he & Selena. But there was still damage to repair either way, just on a lesser scale. His marriage to Hailey seems like it was a decision made based heavily on wanting a wife & wanting one now, but in larger part, due to emotional laziness. Maybe emotional exhaustion & immaturity. I don’t think he had it in him to give Selena the genuine heart she wanted from him, because he struggled so deeply & continues to struggle to this day, with being numb emotionally. Justin didn’t know how to level up per se, so he moved on so he wouldn’t have to.
I think Selena was just as stuck in the cycle of back and forth nonsense, just as much as Justin was. However, she took the time to be alone, heal, and spend time with her support system while she recovered from her broken heart.
I honestly think she’s gotten over the obsession with trying to fix what they had, in a healthy way, realizing that sometimes things can’t be repaired, and that sometimes we have to say goodbye to people we still very much love. Justin on the other hand is sort of stuck in this place of limbo, where he isn’t allowed to work through the normal emotions that come after a split. He found himself a full on wife just months after they broke up. Zero down time. Zero chance to put the past to rest and grieve the end of his first love. He went straight for marriage to someone else, before he had even gotten use to being apart from Selena. He now often appears despondent & uninterested in the life he thought he so desperately wanted. Over the course of the past 5 years I think that there has been an unhealthy kind of love that has grown out of this, only because of the way he treats Hailey, and the way she always is seen as being one to just grin and bear it. He’s very clearly burnt out and over stardom. I don’t blame him. But I think he really wanted Selena as a wife, but made a different choice because of reasons not so straightforward. Fame makes people see themselves in a very “larger than life” way, which is seriously unhealthy. It’s not normal to carry so many people financially at the ripe old age of 12 years old. Or to live this grandiose lifestyle where people never tell a child “no”, even going so far as to sometimes neglect the child’s emotional development and wellbeing because he is the one who puts a roof over their heads along with many others. He never got to be a kid. He instead was a global icon, with a team of “yes men”, who let him behave anyway he wanted because they were easily disposable in that industry. I think Hailey humors Justin’s immature behavior, letting him act like a child & have his way, because quite frankly, he doesn’t know any different. He may never. To the outside world, it looks like he’s stuck. But that may be just as much his own mental state as anything else. How do you get away from the high of the superstardom that fuels your self worth, while also admitting to yourself that the same life that feeds your ego also fuels your intense anxiety and depression? How do you keep your sanity when your own notoriety is driving you to the edge of it? When all you want to do is be a face in a crowd, that can fade into obscurity, and not be attached to a larger than life persona, but still need to feed a massive ego that only recognizes accomplishment on a global scale, how do you learn the value of one person vs that of millions? How do you ever feel your own tangible worth when you’ve been conditioned to recognize love, value, and success only when it is in the form of a god-like idolization, that only global fame provides? I don’t think even Justin knows what he wants, or how to find it, to be honest. And I definitely don’t think he knows how to fill the cavernous void left behind when he stepped off the stage & realized that the people around him are paid to be there. They’re paid to care, but do they really, or is money the driving force rather than genuine love and concern for Justin the man, not Justin Bieber the global superstar. Who would be there if that all went away? I think he craves genuine connection desperately at this point in life, but is very uncomfortable with the reality of it. Happiness has to start with him, and until he finds it in himself, he will never truly have it in any relationship. Putting a ring on it or not.

I honestly think he’s committed to this marriage with hailey because she’s one of the only few people left that is starstruck around him. He can do whatever he wants and she will never argue/leave him. Everyone else has matured and have taken off the rose colored glasses to Justin Bieber the pop star. Selena not marrying him did herself and even him a favor.
Thanks everyone! I actually put a lot of thought into this, as I was thinking about how it would be living that life, and then deciding to step away. I can see the emptiness in his eyes, almost like a former addict who can’t feel joy anymore because they’re burnt out. If you hand a 12 year old the world, they will destroy themselves with it, because they aren’t mentally mature enough to handle the magnitude of this level of fame. Hell, I don’t know a single adult out there, let alone a child, that could live that kind of life while maintaining any sense of normalcy. The novelty of fame wore off years ago, and now he’s just trying to find that euphoric high of newfound fame and first love again, but can’t. All that money is only making it so he can afford good therapy, and hide away in beautiful locales. He doesn’t have to see a single soul if he doesn’t want to, but he’s a true artist, with true talent, and that desire to perform and share that gift with the world will always be his cross to bear, because as an adult I really believe he is an introvert who loves knowing he’s idolized, but doesn’t have to partake in the trappings of fame. For all the millions he’s made, peace is a priceless fantasy that will always be just out of his reach. Money may make you worry less about financial survival but does little to ensure your emotional health stays intact. It can’t give him the childhood he was robbed of. He absolutely needed Selena to draw the line, to force that rock bottom, but he can’t even think about that relationship freely anymore, because he’s now a “married man” and that’s disrespectful to his wife. How do you ever heal from something when you’re not allowed, or never give yourself a chance to feel all the rollercoaster of emotions that comes with heartbreak? He needed time, and not allowing himself that will haunt him. I’m sure he loves Hailey. But that love appears to be very much unconditional in an unhealthy way, that continues to feed the ego that’s destroyed him. I don’t think it’s her fault. I genuinely think she plain and simply just adores him. But Selena kept him grounded, and didn’t buy into the hype of the name “Justin Bieber”…he was just Justin, and she loved him during his rise to superstardom and just the same through his fall from grace, before he became a depressed and anxiety ridden recluse. Look at all the ailments he’s been dealing with…that’s a clear sign of the turmoil bubbling under the surface. For all of his riches, he has paid the price of fame, more heavily than I think people can even understand.

But it’s just like with unhealthy relationship patterns, when we grow up being abused, we accept abuse later in life because we know how to live within those perimeters, even if we loathe them. Justin knows how to be famous. He hates his fame, but likes the rush. He hates the crowds but likes the opportunities fame affords him. He doesn’t know how to be an unknown face in a crowd, who can walk down the street never being recognized. I can’t even begin to imagine what kind of toll a lifetime of being chased, mobbed, and screamed for by the thousands has taken on him. I think he wishes he could be a simple man, with a simple life…but will he ever be able to escape his persona to have a chance at genuine happiness? I do hope so. He’s going to have to walk away from it all though, in order to regain the autonomy he’s always wanted and never experienced.

I feel like Hailey has always been into Justin, and always wanted to try to get closer to him. But because she wasn’t really famous he never really noticed her. Hailey has always wanted to be in Selena’s shoes, which is why she was supportive of the relationship but her motives in the end are clear. A lot of the tweets she tweeted were about the relationship, not about Selena herself. So I don’t think she was much of a fan of Selena to begin with. Her obsession with Selena and Justin’s relationship was out of hidden envy. She prob feels like she ‘won’ since she got the man in the end.

I think because Hailey knew she wasn’t just one of Justin’s regular fans and he actually knew her personally, maybe she felt like she had such a big advantage too being in Selena’s place but Selena was in her way. I feel like that made her obsessive bc she was so close to the guy of her dreams. There are fans that love Justin just as much but they aren’t as obsessive bc they knew being with him will never happen, they don’t even know JB in person. But Hailey did, maybe she thought if she said the right things, acted the right way, looked the right way, he would notice her. My husband and I have been living together for 6 years as a couple, all throughout university and our first jobs etc. We have experienced my dad dying and other loved ones going through chemo, etc. We never have to make it work, because we just match as human beings. When we are together everything is less stressful and we support each other and make each other laugh and feel more hopeful in though times.

There's a lot of stuff that makes it clear to me that she's not being sincere. First acting as if the fact that they didn't date during the same time he was dating Selena, means she is innocent and unaware of that situation, when that is obviously not true. She said they first kissed when she was 17, so that platonic friendship boundary was broken at the very beginning of their relationship overall. Now I don't know about you, but I refuse to believe that she saw him only as a platonic friend after that point on. Especially considering the stuff that has come out about her being a belieber as well. They were seen being romantically involved during his breaks with Selena, then he returned to dating Selena, but Hailey took him back every time that happened. Even if they weren't dating or just friends with benefits, it doesn't mean she wasn't being a factor of distress in their relationship. She obviously was aware of him and Selena dating on and off for YEARS, but she still wouldn't step out of that situation. I would like to point out that I think Justin is the main problem here, but she also didn't back down from this. She was jealous when he was seen with other girls as well, so it's obvious they were not only just friends. She also said Justin texted her in 2018 after seeing her on Jimmy Fallon, but that show aired in April. Justin was dating Selena then, and they broke up right the next month of that year. It is impossible that she was unaware of their relationship. They were also not seen together for a year or two before him texting her in 2018, which means she accepted to be married to him right away, after not speaking to him for a year and him having dated his long time ex only a few months before marriage. I think accepting a marriage from a guy who barely acknowledged you as his girlfriend after you have been involved with him for almost a decade, from a guy who always left you for his ex, for a guy who you hasn't spoken to you for a whole year and who just got out of a long term thing, is a desperate move. And I bet she had her reasons to feel that way, but at the end of the day, she is still trying to hide some things.

It's still out there. I just watched a video yesterday about someone saying that he paid off her family debts. He was over 800K in mortgage payments and 2M in IRS debt and it was said he paid that all off. The other thing they mentioned was he had a green card and kept getting into trouble so getting his citizenship would be very hard especially if he had a felony and I think he got a DUI change plus other things and he was due for court and his green card was expiring as well. That's why he was pressed for time to get married that way he could stay in the country and it takes 3 years of marriage to get citizenship if that is what he wanted it's coming up on 5 though. He did talk about getting into the church and trying to live right and if that's true on his heart then that would make it so much harder to leave his wife even if he married her for another reason. I dunno because I just started looking into this because me neice is a huge fan and was talking about it and I don't follow and of these people not even Selena. A little too young for me but she loves them so I'm trying.

He didn’t truly know who he was or what he wanted out of life. I feel like Hailey noticed this because while she may not be famous she comes from money and understands how this can possibly shape people. The fact that damn near all her closest friends either dated him or had a filling with him while he was either dating Selena or they broke up was like her way of creating familiarity so when they where done for good she would look like she was always on his side no matter what. Her lupus acted up due to emotional stress which caused a low percentage of white blood cells if I can remember correctly. Justin proposed to Hailey in July 2018, and in October 2018 Selena was hospitalised in a mental hospital. She was on the verge of losing her life. I am very sure a big reason was Justin proposing to Selena first but Selena telling him to work on the problems and issues first, before getting in a serious kind of commitment. The idea she had was to take it slow and not rush it. His ego was probably hurt, why else would he rush in a marriage with a different girl? To compensate and to process his pain.

Even more when he realised he was one of the reasons why Selena was on the verge of losing her life. Herself. But needed to further hate him to love and love again.
