Yess! Thought soo too, when i Had them and look closely to their faces they have differ shapes of lips and face mold, also they have their own way of making you smile. Like Sara is looking giggly.
I have been collecting these dolls for over a year now. To my knowledge as of right now there are only two different molds and the differ the eye color, lip color and eyelash upper and lower Renditions to make them different as well as the weeks. The initial dolls were taken from a mold by the late great doll artist Dianna effner. Did Ruby herself design the mold that is Kayla and Maya.
There are a couple of great groups on Facebook to belong to if you enjoy these dolls. I would recommend buying them from the company itself or two doll stores here in the United States which I highly recommend happily ever after because their customer service is great. Samantha stalls also seldom that I have not bought from them but have friends who have been very pleased with their service as well. If you are a collector sometimes they do have a few little problems with them especially in the joints and with staining and these two doll stores were particularly take care of them and get you another doll. The European markets especially a doll store in France get a lot more more beautiful dolls then we are offered here in the United States unfortunately. I have talked to the company about this without really any satisfaction as to why. It is what it is. I've also talked to doll stores here in United States and they are as frustrated as well
@@jillemery1513 There is one extra facial mold - Ruby Ho sculpted Lila's face as a new mold, so Sara, Kayla and Lila are three different molds. (And Ruby Red has been pointing this out on their Instagram). I don't know who has what among the special editions - Daisy looks like a new one to me.
Love how these young kid-aged dolls are dressed like kids. And yes that's amazing quality for only $120.

Aww they look so sweet! Theyre giving me bjd vibes with the stringing/joints, and the more realistic face. I also love that they're not wearing ridiculous amounts of makeup, or questionable clothes.
The questionable fashion in question is just fashion...
@Funkadalix X I'm sorry if my comment was a bit confusing. What I meant, is that I'm glad that these dolls which look like small children, aren't wearing garterbelts, fishnets, pvc miniskirts or tank tops. I do adore those kind of styles too, but preferably on toys that don't look like children, or aren't targeted to very small kids. Ofcourse, that is only my opinion and preference, and everyone has the right to choose how to dress their dolls. (Im sorry if I misunderstood your message in any way, english isn't my first language.)

These are wonderful dolls and very high quality. Dianna Effner, who is a renowned doll maker and sadly died a couple months ago, designed the doll's faces. In honor of her Ruby Red made a special Fashion Friend, who looked like Dianna as young girl. Only 50 were made and all the proceeds from the sale were given to UFDC, United Federation of Doll Collectors as a tribute to Dianna. I have met Ruby and her son and they are extremely nice people and all their dolls are wonderful. Buy Buy Baby has them online and they will take their 20% off coupon and free shipping.
There’s a G I N G E R one, ohmygoodness! These dolls are a bit taller than the ones I would normally buy, and they’re *way* out of my price range, but holy crap, they are cute. Please unbox Stella on your channel if/when you get her!

I pre-ordered a special edition character back in December that just cleared customs, excited to see her in person soon. They are very cute dolls. The company's promotion for them needs to be better, and I'm not a big fan of their fashion packs, but my doll will probably live in her stock dress anyway. They are asking for customer suggestions via one of their facebook posts.

These are beautiful dolls and made really well with great detail on the doll design and in the outfits, cool how they look like a porcelain doll also. And great you can get fashion packs for them. Will have to check them out. 😍💗

These dolls are delightful. The body proportions, the clothing styes/fashions, the hair and make-up, the articulation, the shoes, the positive sayings/messages, etc,.......very normal and realistic.

These dolls are gorgeous. I saw a few reviews on the redhead as well and if I had a proper job, I would definitely get her. And the Asian one is adorable too. I love the straight black hair with the bangs. It looks very anime to me.

Well... First time I see these! I collect BJDs but I love these ones faces! Just went on their website and ordered Hannah omg XD What I find nice about these that they can also wear MSD clothes (if you collect BJDs) and you can also change their wigs apparently so they're customizable =)

Are they mini sized next to american girl? Just curious because they look smaller than american girl. They're ball jointed that's cool well I think it's a type of ball joint I'm not good with the terms either
They're Wellie wisher sized
Like someone else already mentioned, they're Wellie Wisher sized. They can wear most all Wellie Wisher clothes, although WW feet are a tiny bit shorter than these dolls, so the shoes are hit or miss. Some WW shoes fit them, but some are too short.
They are 14 inches tall :)

Ok I'm going to say it... these are far cuter than American girl doll. I used to work American girl fashion shows. And we would style and match the girls to their doll and their wasn't a huge variation in skin tones and hair types. These seem to be so much more inclusive.

They are amazing, but the price is what kills me. I'd probably have to pay double per doll to get them shipped to me in South Africa.
Oh my heaven I need these dolls too and I have found a uk stockist for them which is great as shipping from the states costs a fortune as they stick you for vat and duty tax now just need to get some spare cash or add them to my list for gifts

Very, very cute, but too expensive for me. Even the price of the little ones is too much. Most of my dolls (love MGA!) were purchased when they had a price drop. Wish I could purchase the dolls I love but reality bites. Even if I had the funds, I don't think I would dish out $120 for one of these dolls as cute as they are.

I think doll artist Dianna Effner did sculpts for both lines. I know she sculpted the blonde doll in this video, and also did sculpts for the Maru line. I don't know if she also sculpted the two dark-haired dolls in this video.
@@Violetbunnyfish Dianna did the sculpt for Sara, Hanna and Bella. Ruby Ho did the one for Kayla/Maya and the one for Lila. I don't know about the special editions, but many seem to have the Effner sculpt.
