As a traditional song of their culture, Dimash is thrilled with the audience's participation and has a very passionate delivery on stage. The song speaks of the composition of Magzhan Zhumabayev, who is considered an exponent of Kazakh literature. When in 1928 he was sent to prison, and later sent to camps in North Karelia, Russia, Zuleikha followed him, no matter where he was taken, she always found him and came to see him everywhere. She went to great lengths to get him released from prison in 1936, even asking the famous writer Maxim Gorky for help. During his prison term, Zhumabayev received the lying news that his wife had abandoned him, in this sense Daididau was written as a lament for the lost love and suffering of the nation. But contrary to what he thought, outside his wife worked hard for his freedom and in 1934 his sentence was reduced and he was finally able to return to the family.

At 4:18 Dimash has pulled out his in-ear monitor and he’s tapping on his upper chest, indicating to the tech crew “my in-ears aren’t working”. And, they do not work for the entire song. So he is singing this song, that is so important, to him in front of his home country without working in-ears. He is literally doing this by muscle memory and it’s such an amazing performance. I can promise that his crying at the end is both “my dream came true” but also “oh my goodness I pulled that off”. I believe in this concert he sings two songs without the in-ears and he does them both perfectly. It makes this performance even more impressive and emotional for me. He is a marvel. A Canadian Dear 🦌🇨🇦💜🇰🇿

The Dombra is a folk musical instrument widely used in Central Asia. It is made of wood and has a pear-shaped body with a long neck (only in Kazakhstan with frets) to which two gut strings are attached.
The dombra can be rightly called the queen of Kazakh instruments since the XIX-th century. Dombra can be met in each yurta; it was referred to as one the most necessary and obligatory things in the life of Kazakhs.
One of the greatest dombra players was the Kazakh folk musician and composer Kurmangazy Sagyrbayuly, who had a great influence on the development of Kazakh music culture, his musical composition 'Adai' is popular in Kazakhstan and abroad.
Although Kazakh musical instruments resemble those belonging to other tribes of the Central Asian ethnic group, they have their peculiarities dictated by national traditions. Today the dombra is a national symbol of the Kazakhs and Dimash said every Kasacian child learns this instrument.
In many legends the heroes of successfully made use the ability to 'communicate without words:
'In spite of his father's prohibition the khan's son secretly went hunting. He met a herd of kulans and wounded the leader. Infuriated, Lame Kulan killed the youth with a stroke of the hoof. After waiting in vain for the return of his son from hunting, the khan declared that anyone who approached him with that estirtu (bad news) would be executed by pouring molten lead into the mouth. No one dared for a long time until an old dombrist (a person who plays the dombra) attempted. The sorrowful tune of the kyui was able to send this tragic message across to the khan. He ordered that the molten lead be poured into the dombra. That was how the opening in the upper sounding board of this musical instrument came about.'

They learn the words to be able to sing with him, because it touches the soul when he sings in his mother-tongue. I long for a purely Kazakh album from him. Old and new songs, I don't care.

Dimash is the best singer in the WORLD and there are no doubts about that, his voice is a prodigy of nature and a genetic marvel since his parents are two glories of singing from Kazakhstan since he was 5 years old, he sings publicly and has more than twenty years of lyrical training and graduated from the university of music, he is a singer, composer, arranger and multi instrumentalist, he plays more than seven musical instruments and sings in more than Ten(10) languages, he is also a great performer and a great artist who lives and feels music He is not an imitator of voices , Dimash has his own style and is one of the forerunners of the "POPera" he also has a very pleasant, HUMBLE and simple personality, easy access, which makes it very easy to follow, he always travels with His family and friends is a very educated person and an example to follow, he has become known for his musical talent not for getting into trouble or scandals, It has a very wide vocal range of approximately 7 octaves ,he is a singer with a wide vocal range very versatile is Baritone, TENOR , Soprano, counter TENOR, mezasoprano, everything at the same time is how to have 5 singers in one, it has a male and female voice, also many resources such as vibrato, "melismas", falsetto, Staccato, whistle tone, reaching a( D8 )live "Outside of Piano"at the concert of Gakku in an unforgettable day, at his young age he continues to improve and grow musically to perfection, he has a good physical presence he measures 191 cm or 6 "3", he is very famous and recognized in Asia and now he is becoming known In Europe and America, ALL their songs are spectacular, it always goes from low to high, soft to spectacular at the end, in my almost half a century of life I never heard so much quality and it is the hope of continuity of the classical genre because all the old tenors have already Almost all of them died and Dimash can sing like them but none of them can sing like Dimash, being a Man he sings better than any Tenor and his female voice is superior to that of any average Soprano, greetings and a hug from USA 🇺🇸 "Dears" Forever ❤️ Sorry for copying and pasting my informative comment in ALL the Video reactions to Dimash what I see but I do it with the intention of sharing information about him and what I think that in the music industry there are many artists who have been successful and have no talent and are bad people and they do not set a good example for the youth, Dimash and his music deserve to triumph in America, Europe and the whole WORLD, do you want to have already read my comment please come by without problem there is always someone who for the first time knows this information and I won't get tired of sharing it with all my friends"Dear" around the world, thanks for reading and for supporting Dimash 🙏🏻S.O.S. And I really love how Dimash integrates the old cultural sound into modern sound with drums and guitars and so on. Just a technicality from a fan of Elvis: "Can't Help Falling in Love" was certainly a big and well known hit but wikipedia shows the detailed discography of Elvis songs based on their peak chart positions around the world. “Don’t Be Cruel” was Elvis Presley’s biggest hit in the US. “Hound Dog” was Elvis Presley’s biggest hit in the rest of the world. And several other songs are better known and were more popular than "Can't Help Falling in Love" both in the US and around the world. So when you speak of "the most famous hit of the king of rock 'n roll" you are speaking of "Don't Be Cruel" or "Hound Dog" depending on where in the world you are from.
Maybe one day we will see Dimash do an Elvis cover!

@@dougfriendly7676 Diana Ankudinova has already performed a cover from Elvis and it's great)) Although this song is also an Elvis cover) It is based on a French romance) In 1784, the French composer Jean-Paul Egid Martini wrote the romance "Plaisir d'amour" ("The Joy of love") And it became popular) In 1858, Hector Berlioz re-arranged "The Joy of Love" for a full-fledged symphony orchestra.Almost a hundred years later, Americans drew attention to the classics of French romance - Hugo Peretti, Luigi Creatore and George David Weiss wrote the song "Can't Help Falling in Love" for the film "Blue Hawaii". And it was sung by Elvis Presley. Here is such a story, if you retell it briefly)

I am not only an Elvis fan but owned and operated a retail music store for many years and sold hundreds--if not thousands---of that song and many others. I apologize for sounding like an obnoxious "know-it-all" when it comes to pop music but it was my business to know the most of any other music retailer in my large city. He gave everything in this concert . Greetings from Argentina. Marcelo

Good reaction my friend...I have seen your reactions to Dimash, the best male singer of the world...But now I ask you: Have you seen the best female singer of the world?...The passion and dedication when Dimash is performing a song can only be compared with the person who has influenced him to sing leaving everything on stage: His idol, the queen, the incomparable Lara Fabian...Lara is the best female singer and performer of the world...She is a lyric soprano with a amazing vocal range and incredible breath control, which is one of the things that Dimash admires the most about Lara...She speaks 5 languages and sings like in 12 languages....That's why she is the inspiration for Dimash and several singers around the world...You can see on CZcams covers of her songs made by singers of the stature of: Dimash, Floor Jansen, Diana Navarro, Morissette Amon, Gabriel Henrique, Katrina Velarde, Cakra Khan and others...Please react to her songs, all masterpieces, in LIVE versions, because Lara is more impressive when she sings live, so you can see why she is the idol of Dimash...Try to do it in this order and almost all songs are from the same Lara’s concert “From Lara With Love” in Montreal 1999, one of her best works: 1) Je Suis Malade (Singing in French)...2) Caruso (Singing in Italian)...3) Je T'AIME (2002 Live version in Paris Singing in French)...4) Perdere L'Amore (1999 Live version Singing in Italian)...5) Adagio (1999 Live version singing in english)...6) Broken Vow (1999 Live version singing in English)...7) You are Not From Here (1999 Live version singing in English)...8) Quédate (1999 Live version singing in Spanish)....9) Ti Amo Cosi (2019 Live version Singing a trío with Dimash and Aida Garifullina)....I hope to see you first reaction soon and if you don't mind, I'd like you to mention me as the person who recommended reacting to Lara, but if you don't want to, that's fine...

See the video of Dimash's performance of "Daididau" on Singer 2017 (Ep#7) on Gloria Wu's CZcams channel. Besides the Eng. subs, her intro tells of the origin of the song, and has some footage of Dimash in Kazakhstan. He flew in Kazakh musicians to accompany him. While it is true that the poet was released from prison and reunited with his wife, the Stalinists arrested him again and executed him. If you look up Dimash and Jackie Chan on CZcams, you'll see Dimash give him a dombra.
