I love how, every time you try to pull off a combo, Rufus just steps in and shoots you. In a game that includes boss fights against eldritch abominations, nightmarish monsters, and heavily armed combat robots, this guy actually feels like a final boss in spite of it being basically a well-armed trust fund kid and his pet dog. 10/10.
Anyone else get the vibe Rufus is more interested in testing himself here over actually killing Cloud? When the battle starts Clouds like "Let's get this over with" and Rufus responds "Don't say that" with a vibe that feels like he wants to draw this out. Between that and the later comments it makes me suspect he's more into enjoying the fight(which i can totally appreciate).
Anyone notice how Rufus has only 6 shots? Every time he shoots (including to move) count the shots, and you can predictably tell when he will reload and be open to an attack.
Rufus might not be physically strong but it is extremely hard to read his next moves his fighting style and strategic tactics were really impressive and it shows by how synchronized he is with his well trained darkstar pet as well.
I was a little bit disappointed that Rufus never gave his little speech that he did in the original. The one where he explained that, while his father tried to control the old world through money, it was his intention to control the new one through fear.
This boss fight legitimately felt like an actual boss fight. Almost like you were fighting another pro player and had to calculate your moves. I love these kinds of fights that keep you on your toes and one wrong move and he punishes you for it. More bosses need to be like that. Not exactly like dark souls stupid but balanced.
I see Rufus shops for coats in the same store as Seto Kaiba
I love how dude in a wedding dress with his toy terrier just waltzes in to a fight at his dad's funeral by a chopper 10/10 best moment in a game.

I do love how when you attack Darkstar for too long, Rufus shoots you and either says “back off” or “hey!” He loves his doggy.
im sorry but rufus is really too hot for an enemy

The guy can't be completely evil since he sent his dog away. He loves his puppy.
"toss a coin to your soldier."

I like that he can actually hold his own in a fight.
They nailed Rufus' voice.

Rufus: Now tell me...who the DEVIL are you?
Cloud's Internnal monologue : (Is he fucking hitting on me?)
This is a really cool boss fight, the design of Rufus and Darkstar are pretty badass to say the least.
