Anza Borrego Adventure - Hiking Slot Canyon | Font's Point trail

On day 2 of our adventure in Anza Borrego we decided to go see a cool hiking trail called the Slot Canyon. The hiking trail is relatively easy with some beautiful views.
After lunch we head out to check out another easy off roading trail called Fon'ts point. This 4 miles trail will lead you to the overlook of the badlands of Anza Borrego. This area is awesome for photography especially during sunset.
Definitely a fun day exploring Anza Borrego state park.

I love Anza-Borrego! So many cool hidden trails and stark desert landscape. I swear i was walking in those same canyons!
It such a cool area and tons of trails to explore...I still want to explore more of the north side next time.

Fonts point gives me nightmares 😂 i got sticks twice trying to offeoad off the trail and it was about 115 degrees and NO ONE was out that day and i had to walk all the way back to the gas station 😅
Oh man...I feel ya there. It can get so hot out there...whenever it's that hot I try to not go out in the desert...this is definitely a fall or winter area.

Nice! These are 2 of my favorite spots. My first “offroad” trail was to fonts point in my stock tacoma with the wife and kids by ourselves. I was a little nervous being it was my first time out there lol and I didn’t know they charge for the slot canyon hiking trail! I wonder when that started 🤔 nice 360 shot by the way
I feel ya..now looking back at all the trail we've done by ourself without recovery gears. I was kinda dumb haha...this area is so cool with so many trails to see.

Sweet adventure Mike! I’ve been to Anza Borrego, but never been to and forgot about “the slot”. My first trip, we thought about hiking it, but it was 118F 🥵.

Yea it's no fun when it's over 90f out there. I just have a magnetic mount but the screw got loose from all the rough riding I guess . Good thing I didn't loose it haha
would love to go but i don't have an offroad vehicle :(
What is the best map guide for off road to download
I usually go to all trail to see trails and review and cross reference with google map and gaia gps
