If anything, the fact this video exists and has gotten so much attention and goodwill probably pisses them off.
Some things to note. Instead of super Saiyan, goku turned into a Sun Wukong form which is what goku was originally based off of.(as y'all also know, the 5 tailed beast in naruto is Monkey King, Son Goku) One very cool thing they included was when goku and vegeta touched and did kamehameha. One of Son Wukong's powers is to transfer ability, knowledge, and technique just by touch. AMAZING THOUGHT, WORK, AND EFFORT WENT INTO THIS. It's legendary

4 tails, actually that biiju is an homage to DB from the author of Naruto, The beast is a Monkey like Goku's Osaru form, is the 4tails like the 4 star Dragon Ball that Grampa Gohan left behind to Goku and is the host of said taild beast is named Roshi like Master Roshi from Dragon Ball.
It's a really homage IMO.

And sun wukong might be based on mythologies of hanuman. Though they can be different but have similar stuff as well.
It's not what happened, the creator (the guy at the end of the video) literally said in a podcast that in this timeline, Vegeta already met Goku and Goku taught him how to do the Kamehameha. This is not a Vegeta riddled by pride, this is a King that is willing to mentor and improve with who is supposed to be the "champion" of his army.
it's a real shame that a lot of people don't know that goku is based on sun wukong. I mean son goku literally translates to sun wukong.

Fun fact:apparently goku in that form used one of the monkeys king abilities he can share knowledge and abilities with others,hence why vegeta used kamehameha

Little blink and you miss it moment but Chichi is absurdly strong in this universe. She's able to tank a punch from broly until he infuses ki in it, she's able to buff her muscles out like other characters when she punches broly, and if you translate the World Martial arts tournament poster it tells you that this is the final round and that she defeated both krillin and piccolo in order to get to Goku. Don't know why they decided she needed to have so many buffs but I'm kind of here for it even if things still end the same lol
Well I wouldn’t be surprised if she’s the strongest female human on Earth. Perhaps the strongest Human straight up if she beat krillin. Goku married her for a reason. And Chi Chi has always been known for her tenacity lmao
@@emmanuelakalusi3690 I think the series outright States a few times that she's the strongest woman on Earth, before 18 gets introduced. But she is considerably stronger in this version, not enough to make a difference obviously but it is an interesting choice. If they ever made a sequel I would be curious as to whether or not she might actually get to do something significant
Tanking a punch does not mean you are sent flying into a wall. You need to learn your terms buddy.
@@ThisIsToXiN no I think you just need to read what I actually said. She tanks the punch does not move and then broly has to infuse ki into it send her flying. You can slow it down if you want to but that's what happens she absorbs the full impact and then you see him focus is ki into his fist and blast her backwards. She's definitely nowhere near their level but chi chi in the original show got knocked out of the ring by the shockwave from Goku's punch, so yeah significantly stronger. Like you don't have to agree with me but it would be nice if you responded to what I actually said lol Instead of cherry picking to try and make me seem silly 🤣

This entire film is a work of art. You can practically feel the love and dedication everyone involved with the project, whether it be the animators, the sound designers and the voice actors, had for the Dragon Ball franchise.
By the way, Vegeta knows how to use a sword lol, there’s a reason Vegito has a spirit sword
I don't know about that. When has (canon) Vegeta ever been shown to have sword skills aside from the time he used the Spirit Sword technique in the Super manga? Which was more of a callback to Vegito than anything else, and he didn't even use it as a weapon as I recall, he used it more like a grappling hook to get back on the arena in the Tournament of Power.
I mean I'd be happy to be wrong, but if Vegeta was proficient in swordplay you'd think we would have seen him use techniques like that before Vegito appeared. Vegito using the Spirit Sword technique doesn't really prove anything, he could have got that from either Vegeta or Goku, a mixture of knowledge from both, or come up with it himself on the spot. Fusions always pull moves out of thin air.

Josh was claiming that A. Vegito got the Sprit Sword technique from Vegeta and B. Vegeta is skilled in swordplay.
Vegeta using the Spirit Sword technique (or a technique similar to it) to grab onto the side of the ring in the tournament doesn't prove either of those things. They COULD be true, we just don't know for sure.

Someone once said that true art inspires others to make their own, you can't deny that's what this is. Pure passion and joy drips from every lovingly crafted frame of this fan film. The sheer hard work and dedication to make something like this is truly humbling.
7:34 Wukong.....The Monkey King. Not only was this a love letter, but really brought in the influence of the "Stone Monkey" so much. That transformation beats any of Goku's prior transformations and I'm not even a goku fan

This took them 4 years to make and Vegeta doing the kamehameha was because of Goku's super saiyan form which is based on Sun Wukong who had the ability to share memories on touch.
A.K.A when Goku and Vegeta tapped wrists together, Vegeta gained Goku's memories and his ability to perform the technique in an instant.
Also, everyone involved participated without any budget
I like the added touch of Broly having the knife scar that King Vegeta left him.

So this was obviously a love letter to dragon ball. But the inspiration for Gokus form at the end is based of the story “journey to the west” about the monkey king. Son goku in dragon ball is loosely based and inspired by it.
That ran in circles. The point of goku's form here is another love letter to dragon ball because goku is heavily based on sun wukong with his appearance, nimbus, power pole and interacting with the gods among other things
Pretty much all shonen anime and manga are based on Journey to the West

For anyone confused
The film is a original take / mish mash of what we love from Dragon Ball.
Goku's whole ghost rider thing was actually him turning into Son Wukong (Who Goku is based off of hence the monkey look)
Vegeta knew the Kamehameha cuz in the actual Son Wukong story... He could share powers and techniques by touching wrists.
(Peep how before the final blast Vegeta got Super Saiyan back and instantly knew to use Goku's move)
Lastly peep the audience... Saitama... Akuma... Akira Toriyama and a few others make a cameo.

It's crazy that at no point in the Canon DB, Broly said Vegeta's name
If you checked the credits, the animation was practically only Naseer...team simply consist of others aspects, and was likely formed later in the process cause this took 4 years.
This was insane, this was incredible. That feeling you got when watching dbz when it originally was on, long time ago, thats the exact feeling I got when I saw this movie, Naseer Pasha and his team are amazing, just...amazing. It brought tears to my eyes. This was exhilarating
The transformation is a reference to the real god sun wukong, the monkey king of the ladder of heaven, who goku is directly based off of (from journey to the west) and I loved every single second of it 😎

Another subtle detail during Goku's transformation scene is you can see the kanji 天 or 'ten' which means heaven in the clouds when they go dark and the lightning starts flashing, to symbolize Goku being the 'Saviour From Heaven'.

Just a heads up, Goku's form is a call back to toriyama's original inspiration for Goku, an ancient legend. Son Wu Kong, the monkey king. Hence him having the flying nimbus, tail and power pole.
Gotta admit how unbelievable this team is to make the "back thing" for db super sayans to be an actual dildastica plot and not a shortway to kinda balance the power levels before/during the 1v1. Love how it glows like a neon tattoo

The creator of that short fan film worked on a season of Castlevania, so there's a reason it looked so good. We're seeing DBZ fans be part of the animation industry and it's awesome.

The form was something based off of Son WuKong. Which is what the design/story of Goku was originally inspired by. It’s not Naruto nor has anything to do with Naruto. Glad you enjoyed it tho.

Yeah I just watched superhero and it blew my mind. The animation looks a lot better than anything the trailers have shown. It's so smooth and good looking it's crazy. You wouldn't think it's 3D animation. That's all I'm saying. It's definitely worth seeing
Check out the novel "Journey to the West". Son Wukong/Monkey King name in Japanese is Son Goku. In the novel the Monkey King rides sometimes on a cloud called Nimbus and has a Pole that extends and can be very very small.
