    Levi sherpa jacket review of the type 3 Levi's sherpa denim jacket. How does it score in today's review!? The Levi type 3 sherpa jacket. A cozy take on the original Levis type 3 trucker jacket. Yet another popular Levis denim jacket choice that's instead, built with sherpa lining for extra warmth. It's perfect for the changing weather. A classic and timeless piece that won't be going out of style. The Levi sherpa jacket, comes with pre washed denim, with a variety of wash colors to choose from that are sure to satisfy your personal denim taste and style, brought to you yet again, by the classic and timeless, world renowned Levis red tab brand.
    The Levis 16365 style sherpa trucker jackets, are designed with a standard fit with slight room throughout. The type 3 jean jacket, features contrasting stitching lines that are aetheticly pleasing, creating V shapes. The V shapes on the classic Levi type 3 jacket, create a slimming effect at the bottom of the V towards the waist, and accentuating the shoulders and chest as the V widens towards the top, bringing out the V-taper in men for a masculine look.
    The Levis sherpa jacket measures 43.5” at the chest. The sherpa lining uses some of that chest space while the garment at true to t-shirt size, fits somewhat form fitting overall on the body but not tight, as well as at the shoulders, which I personally really like to bring out the v taper. I also prefer a more fitted look. You can size up for a baggier look to your preference or if you need more room.
    The Levi sherpa jacket, has some mobility room and again, is designed with a standard fit with slight room throughout. The snap buttons can come undone with physical activity that requires a lot of mobility, so also size up if using it to work. The jean jacket has rather fitted arm holes that contribute to the slim aethetic. The sleeves measure 24.5” from the shoulder seam to end of the cuff, which sits right for me and isn't too long. It can cause discomfort if the sleeves are too long in length during the day, by feeling the cuff touch the thumb area. That can get in the way.
    The total length of the Levis sherpa jacket from the seam on the back of the neck, down to the end of the jacket is 23”, and sits around the hip area. The denim feels softer than their raw denim trucker jacket, as it comes pre washed. It's made with 100% cotton, pre washed denim and 100% polyester Faux Fur lining with polyester sleeves filling.
    It's a mid weight jacket with some weight to it that you can feel when you hold it. It feels warm on the body, having that extra, cozy, sherpa lining under the 100% cotton denim. It's perfect for a chilly day, when a denim jacket just isnt enough to do the trick. But still want a rugged, stylish trucker jacket look but with a cozy twist to stay warm, that's also sure to turn heads.
    I suggest going true to t-shirt size for a modern, form fitting look that's in style. Or size up to your liking to layer over sweaters to use in colder conditions, or if you just prefer a baggier look. If you need more room than that, or prefer a boxier or vintage cut, try the Levis vintage fit sherpa trucker jackets.
    Should you Rock!? Or Roll?! Is it worth the dough?! The final review score is based off ... (See video for full review!)

      Btw I like your profile pic man!
      And the vintage cut is more boxy and has even more room on the body and sleeves. It also has longer sleeves and is essentially a more relaxed fit.
      I personally find it annoying to have the sleeves go to my thumb area and feel it gets in the way and not a fan of a more relaxed fit that can look sloppy imo.

      @@stylewithaltitude Yeah man, good to be in the comments, and hear back from you! I agree with you, in that I’m more into fitted clothing, and definitely don’t like a baggy, or boxy cut when it comes to my jackets and shirts.
      I toyed around with getting a “vintage” made in the USA Levi’s Sherpa, but just couldn’t find enough information out there with regard to fit. I understand that the craftsmanship is great, but again, no one ever really talks about the fit.
      To say the least, I think a video of you comparing the modern day Sherpa to a vintage, and even a new “vintage” fit would be extremely valuable in terms of educating those of us who don’t know all of the subtle, and not so subtle differences.

The sizing is either a little too big if I size up or a little too small if I size down. But if I size down, which is what I did, it looks better if I leave it unbuttoned and if I wear a Tshirt underneath. There is not enough room for me to wear a sweater underneath. Also, I can wear an undershirt and a thin baselayer over the undershirt and under the Tshirt. Thats a total of 3 layers under the sherpa. I got mine a few days ago it's the juniper and for me being a very broad shouldered man I need a larger size. I was also having some concerns about how to wash it since it's a dark color I didn't want the dye to bleed on to the white Sherpa any advice?

    • @stylewithaltitude
      @stylewithaltitude  Před rokem

      They also make vintage cut Levi's jackets if you need more room. These run more fitted. It's not raw unwashed denim so I wouldn't be concerned about that happening. They come pre washed. I would just button it up and turn it inside out and wash in cold water. Afterwards, hang dry to reduce the chance of shrinkage.

      @@Motorcyclechariotracing You should be good just wash with like colors in cold water. Warmer water tends to get the dye out more than cold water. Consider subbing if you havent already. Let me know if you have any more questions!
