It is distracting and unnecessary to have camera angle changes. Wouldn’t it be more genuine if Doug was looking at us straight in the eye?
got it...signed in person...problem is i'm a common corps educated professional democrat...
i caint read.
The parable at the beginning could apply to another situation when for a decade + people were warning about these guys, but since they were Calvinists they largely got a free pass from their fellow Calvinists a until it may be too late.
And if Calvinists in general hadn’t turned a blind eye to them, because it seemed good for the spread of Calvinism, and had been this upset about coveting, deception and stealing back when it wasn’t the left, but Stealth Calvinists doing it, we probably wouldn’t be here. It’s like the golem turned on its creators, and now we’re all suffering even more.
It’s ironic that what was proclaimed as the only antidote to liberalism is what brought in liberalism.
@@paulchamberlain4810 i don't know what you are talking about, but one thing I do know: Every single time I've seen someone generalizing and saying "anti-calvin this anti-calvin that, ", they've been wrong about whatever they were talking about and are generally ignorant and/or lying.
I would bet $1000 that's the case here as well.
@@democratpro I find it surprising you’re not aware of things like “stealth Calvinism“, the left shift in Calvinist leaders starting 10 or so years ago, the lack of broad and strong criticism early on from other Calvinists, that the early critics were non-Calvinist like Provisionists, etc. Maybe because I come from Baptist circles I’m more aware of what was going on with 9 marks, the gospel coalition, founders, and the Southern Baptist convention?
“Et. al. That’s Latin for ‘and Al...Mohler.’”😂😂😂 I hope no one missed this one. Y’all, this is comic gold! God bless you, Pastor Doug! And I thank God for your wit and your ability to use properly.
I can see why Doug is a Chesterton fan. They’re both masters of wit.
Doug just gets better with age.
Favorite moment, for sure... lol
Blistering. Et Al.......
Agreed. Pastor Doug's wordsmithery is 🔥
Great analysis Doug Wilson. And thank you for saying the names.
This is still, after a year on; one of the best B&M’s ever. Certainly a top 10 and I was pleased to see it up in my feed to view again today ❤ #NQNQ
We Congolese have been struggling to get Finnish believers into our local assemblies. The struggle is real.
🤣
🤣❤️
What's the story? Both groups Christian? Should be no problem. I always enjoy meeting Christians from other backgrounds. Good practice for the new creation!
That's epic. Thanks for the LOL.
lol
Thank you for naming names!
I’m just glad that y’all and others are waking up.
It’s no fun getting smacked down for barking at stuff that’s supposed to be barked at
right there with you friend. I started ringing the bell some 2 years ago now
@@jamesc7526 Based. It's really discouraging at times.
Some videos need a special 'Preach!' Button. This is such a video. God bless the brethren in Moscow.
As usual right on target. May GOD have mercy on us & them, amen.
I have listened to this episode I think about 15 times now. It is right on. Thank you Pastor Doug for this!
You got to love Pastor Doug for his message and wit! Thank the Father someone with a national voice is calling out these woke warriors!
I love that he’s “ Ringing the bell,” yet again.
"Can two walk together, unless they are in agreement?" The question really is, how much work can a man do on behalf of the enemy before we concede that we don't have any reason to consider him our friend? "A tree is known by its fruit."
This was the same question posed by Spurgeon and Schindler in the Downgrade Controversy. Brother Wilson is being overly charitable in my opinion.
Yeah, it's not really meant to be so tricky. When we "walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship one with another..."
"Et al, which is Latin for and...Al Mohler." Literally LOL!
This is one of the most powerful and honest videos on the entire internet
Glad to hear brother Doug admit that "there's such a thing as idolatry of traditional family."
"Who is my brother, or sister, or mother? He that does the will of my father..."
Been there and did that
@@kennyhollidayjr5206 Interesting, brother, care to explain further? Many know the "I have not come to bring peace but a sword" verse by experience.
Some people like to call it "the cost of discipleship."
Thanks, Brother Doug.
Stumbled on your channel from a random tweet - and I’m impressed and intrigued. I’ll definitely look more into your catalogue to see what this is all about and what solutions are provided, but I completely agree with the findings and sentiment of your presentation.
Love the C.S. Lewis quote and the phrase: "Hot-tubs of intellectual fashion" as applied to many of our current institutions of higher learning.
That was a great quote. I need to read Screwtape Letters sometime.
@@ReadyToHarvest scarily accurate tapes.
Thanks for expressing my daily concern and observation
You bring tears to my eyes for those very sermons admonishing everyone about husband idols, wife idols, children idols, family idols, work idols, and so forth were preached from our church's pulpit as recent as 5 months ago. We have met the enemy and he is us. Maranatha!
The changes in the church spurred by a fear of popular opinion began way before the modern age. It is simply gotten far worse
@@johnmoss4624 Amen. It began when the Roman Empire accepted Christianity as a "state" religion instead of persecuting it.
I just found brother Doug! How refreshing to find a “man of GOD” in these days of milk toast preachers.
The word is milquetoast.
I always say, “formula churches,” not even real milk.
My favorite channel.
Thank you
So good!
Great message.
I like Tim Keller. I appreciate his teachings. I believe he played a very important part of evangelizing a part of American society that is often ignored by many in the fundamentalist and evangelical communities; highly educated professionals and liberals. They also need to hear the gospel.
Naming names. I love it.
Epic insight once again! 👏👏👏
Bravo. Bravo. Bravo!
GOD bless you with a very long life!!!!!
Thanks!!
This is Fire!
Catholic here, glad to see a few evangelical leaders speaking out about how evangelicals have taken the SJW bait. It's been disheartening to see my family members of my evangelical youth fall one by one to this garbage. Can't say the same for my current faith, the conservatives of that group just took a stomping...
Yeah, so what bait are you hooked on?
@@duncescotus2342 Melkite.
@@MrSggurcs Good. You're like dried fish. Now, understand this: Social justice is good so long as it is just, as all justice is of God. Pay no attention to Calvinists on such matters as their history is short on justice and long on political maneuvering.
Naming names 👍
Excellent
@1:38 "pretty sure" .... a euphemism for absolutely certain! :)
Opening lines in the video are spot on!
Wow, this is the best one yet, and they're always good.
Hits the nail on the head! The title pretty much sums up. Thanks you Pastor Doug.
Thanks 👍
We need more true watchmen on the wall. We need reformation and repentance among God’s people. Those lackluster leaders need to graciously admit the wrong they have caused primarily through the sin of omission in their preaching, exhortation and writing. Awake!
I only knew of David French as the gaslighting liar from National Review. Since he works for NR I assumed he was Catholic and/or Trotskyite, I had no idea he was considered an evangelical leader.
Years ago I followed French on Patheos and thought he was great. Trump's nomination broke him. He's been out of his mind ever since.
The church in Finland doesn't have enough Congolese members lol
the man can turn a phrase
I love this content.
Extremely good
Praise God
This is what we call here in NY "fuego sauce". Best video I've seen yet.
Thank you Doug, excellent input on this.
This is so useful. Thanks. How can we be better Watchmen? What are we looking for and how do we know when it is the enemy?
Read the scriptures
I love this. Friends and I talk about this sort of failure by our christian leaders a lot. We all have some sort of plans to do our part in the coming years.
The evil of Lucifer …. Never heard it taught in any church.
Best is “I predict a mess.” True. Big one too.
Straight. Gold.
Almost my exact words as I was listening.
Now I understand what the barking is all about.
My goodness I love this man! His life in heaven is gonna be a little miserable because I am gonna follow him around yapping his head off every chance I get! Genius! Saint! Most importantly, a leader we need!
Praying for you brother...we have always been at war! Act like men...prepare your minds for action.
I'm learning stuff.
Doug, the red-pilled dispenser! Howl!
Yes and Amen. May those who understand and feel the force of this true message pray. Maybe it's time for guys to the right to repent and admit that they have not had the discernment or fortitude to lead.
Amen. Amen! AMEN!!!
Beautiful analogy brother 🙏🏾❤️
"Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, and will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the LORD Almighty."-2nd Corinthians 6:17-18
Amid calling out pastors and clever writing, it can be tempting to think you're in the clear on all fronts. But, may pastor Doug and others, heed the words of The Spirit "Keep a close watch on yourself and on the teaching. Persist in this, for by so doing you will save both yourself and your hearers" 1 Tim. 4:16 🙏🏽
@jparkerwillis how very ‘woke’ of you…Keller lost all credibility when he began pandering to the SJW’s…his ‘The Reason for God’ is a decent introduction to apologetics, but doesn’t hold a candle to Lewis’ ‘Mere Christianity’ or Wilson’s ‘Mere Fundamentalism’…
@@andrewbrowne5557 who are the SJW's?
@@patriagirl7674 Social Justice Warriors…Keller’s book ‘Generous Justice: How God’s Grace makes Us Just’ , while making some good and obvious points, leans toward the sjw movement, rather than away from it… ‘Justice’ is an attribute of God, there is no need to preface it (the word justice) with an adjective…once that is done, the word no longer means what it means when relating to God…imo
@@andrewbrowne5557 Thx. I just watched a video interview with Voddie Bauchum
Apparently he just wrote a book on this subject.

Peter Jones is very helpful in his analysis of the paganism inherent in the sexual mendacity of the noisy in society.
Best video you’ve done I believe. Excellent and an especially perfect analysis for what we have lived through the past 18 months.
I have, though not a religious scholar, stood sentry all my life, and I have been hammering the bell, although ignored and ridiculed for my "silly panic" all my life. Well, I am now at odds, at war, and in a position of Orthodox dedication as laid down and formed up by the Apostles. I include temporal combat to the spiritual war, as I see it, "in spirit and in truth" applies to my 'hill to die on'.
On target!
Listen here buddy....
spot on, keep it up.
"Pray for our leaders"... until Rev 18.20 unfolds. We're there.
Wow. Much needed. Reading my thoughts with this one. Keller in particular has pulled some we love into believing the bible is mostly not true.
He’s a wolf!
Can you cite where Keller has ever said that most of the Bible is not true. That seems so outside of anything Tim Keller would aver say.
Stephen, I see no one answered your question. The only thing I can add is from a former elder I knew years ago. He ‘had concerns’ about Keller because of something Keller said about evolution. Ok, whatever.
@@stephenr2197 to them it's as if the only parts of the bible that are true is when Jesus said love one another... and you're in some cult if you believe anything else it says really happened. Just stories and poetry that we're reading too much into.
@@validcore that's easily a straw man of what any of them, especially Keller, believes. Cite where they have said this.
It gives me great peace when I see what GOD can do with broken vessels, their is a great purge coming in our LORDS church and it is long overdue!!! GOD bless all CHRISTS soldiers!!!

"GOLINESS" in the verse quote from Timothy
At the risk of appearing to be a grammar idolater, I wanted to point out "GOLINESS" in the 1Timothy quote and also "FASIONS" in the Screwtape quote. ;-)
Thank you for barking. Your dog logo is especially fitting for this video, haha.
SOUND ... THAT ... ALARM! Never stop sounding the alarm. Better to have to say I'm sorry than to go to a funeral.
I didn't want to be the guy to point out a typo but @7:13-37: "...peaceable life in all goliness".
Although "Golly" might be an apt expression for those who were plugging their ears when the bell was ringing.
How long does it take to produce content like this? Amazing message. I would suspect several decades then several hours.
Something I was learning today involved the term for bishop/overseer/elder in Titus and 1 Timothy. It seems to be a compound word that denotes the role of a watchman. Can someone more learned confirm?
Correct. Episkopos = epi (over) + skopos (to see). That's why some translate this word as "overseer". Great observation.
🎤 💧 nailed it
I wait for the Lord, my soul waits, and in his word I hope; my soul waits for the Lord more than watchmen for the morning, more than watchmen for the morning...
Big Eva = The Sphinx from Mystery Men.
Christian Mesmerists...
I'm excited about all the progs and libs that'll be open to hearing The Gospel with their world getting turned upside down. ;-)
Man this guy lays it down. Hard hitting man of God!
Great
SO GOOD
The video is perfectly on the mark except for the assertion that the men whom he names are good men. I guess we can't take it for granted that he would say the exact same thing at this point in time.
I think you are very kind to say some of the intellectual religious leaders are the nice guys that didn't see what was going on instead of infiltrators. But when you see the situation with the Southern Baptist Convention, you see the situation with the Modernist Catholics, the situation with the Anglicans, the situation with Mega Church leaders, the situation with Big Eva, you see the men get on stage in front of Congress and give a prayer to the Hindu God I can't help but to see a pattern. And it isn't one of nice guys that couldn't see.
It's a pattern of those who share the same exact ideas of marriage and women with authority. And many of them share a pattern either ignoring or encouraging brotherhood of all men and religions.
Or ensuring that non Christians lead over Christians and work against Christians having power and authority.
And it begins to look like they belong to the same organization. One that doesn't really follow Christ but at the lowest levels invites Christians to betray Jesus Christ...for a lot more than 30 pieces of silver.
Wow, reformed theology sure messed up the church. Sad
Don't forget the situation with the United Methodist Church. I am so glad neither my Father nor my Great Grandmother are on this earth any longer to see it. As faithful Methodists they would be heartbroken.
I'm not being mean but Doug Wilson is looking pretty rough/tired, especially under his eyes. I hope he is okay.
We might disagree which sentry Russel Moore is.
“Et al which is Latin for and Al Mohler” might be the most clever thing I have ever heard lol.
Hi Reuben!
You may want to raise the output gain on your audio as high as you can without clipping the signal.
Sheepdogs!? These men are wolves, infiltrators crept in not-so-unawares.
Can someone help me understand the issue with Al Mohler? Seriously curious. I feel like I hear him constantly speaking about these issues.
would have loved to stand the mid watch with this guy...back in the day
we'll go together. We can help each other stand up so the knees don't seize up
This is SO spot on. I just discovered Doug and am hooked. He is saying exactly what I've always thought but couldn't articulate. I could never figure out what bugs me about Keller, Piper, at al, but Doug has articulated it well. They eagerly latch onto any progressive peeve that they find Biblical warrant to condemn but ignore overt sins that are at crisis levels bc THOSE would put them in the progressive crosshairs
I like this straight and sober talk. I don't know these people named I guess because I don't go to those evangelical Churches. All I know is that the day I received Christ as Lord and followed Christ was the same say I received the Acts Chapter 2 package, including supernatural healing. The greatest thing on that day was His unsurpassing peace; but even greater, was the words inscribed on the inside of the Bible gifted to me that day quoting Hebrews 4:12. It was that day, 31 years ago, that I knew I had the greatest power in the world in my hands - God's word! And nothing has ever been able to dimish its value, worth or power. I can only add to that: the deaf hear, the lame walk, and the blind see. Praise God.
Said like only Doug could.
This is why I left my church, PCA. Unfortunately, the church in your denomination in my town didn't work out. I was turned away by the senior pastor because I didn't put hand sanitizer on. Even though I was the only one there!
This is also why I asked you in Nashville about a church and you replied "find one, start one or move".
Sad days we're in, thanks for standing your ground...MANY of us need your leadership desperately right now.
Currently at a PCA because everything else is pentecostal or bowed the knee to Caesar. I'm Baptist and that's not likely to change but something about "the weightier matters of the law" comes to mind
So did he offer you hand sanitizer?
@@middleground1858 he forced me to use it, then asked me to leave when I told him I didn't want to put hand sanitizer on.
I now know why they were meeting in a rented "la petite" daycare building. I was literally the only person there 5 minutes before church started....he, his wife and I...a car pulled up when I was leaving though, so maybe 5 people max if the car was full...I didn't look because I was so fuming mad at the weasel "pastor".
I'm mad now recalling it, quite frankly. It's ok. the anger I have towards the modern evanjellyfish is fueling my desire to start my own ministry "of sorts", likely a documentary. I'm not good at all, but I MUST get my voice out there against this demonic takeover. I don't want God to say "Why did you not protest?"
Maybe this is why I’m described as a “ glass half empty guy” I - even with a full glass.
I think it is far more likely that in a few more years, we will be doing our work of advancing the kingdom in the world of Doctor Moreau.
