Thanks for sharing. You mentioned that he is more successful at breeding than others & that he also is only one that keeps them on the ground. The most successful person I came across, here in southtown, usa, was a woman who kept all hers on the ground as well. They were everywhere though. In her backyard & in her house. It was surprising because she was in an upscale neighborhood/ subdivision. Lol, i am sure her neighbors didn't know!

The rabbits are losing hair from over crowding and poor diet. Rabbits need hay for digestion. Young rabbits will pick hair from each other due to lack of roughage ( hay ) in the diet.
For real ? They eat each others hair ?

@@livingwaters.4U they can eat carrot but not that much. Rabbits are prone to diabetes. Carrots are rich in sugar that if rabbits ate too much then they will get sick. I read some article on google about their foods and diet and thats what i have read.

@@parole1561 theres a lot of resources aside from carrot. Such as cabbage. And besides if im not mistaken carrots are rich in beta carotene which is precursor of vitamin A. Not B.

That's right sir, Ivermectin injections or powder helps in healing mostly the mange on rabbits, Skin mites. the breeder must also disinfect the hutch or the rabbit's living quarters. Very nice video sir and informative as well.

Hi,
I noticed that some of the kittens in this rabbitry have patchy and missing fur. They are missing fur because they are low in protein. The other rabbits are trying to get the extra protein by eating the younger rabbit's fur. If you add Calf Manna or any other supplement with high protein the fur chewing will cease. The Calf Manna has 25% crude protein. Protein is vital to the heath and growth of young rabbits.

Correction sir, rabbits arent rodent. They do not belong to the Order Rodentia, rather, Lagomorpha. Rabbits, hares, and a few others. This is because a rabbit has four incisors in the upper jaw (including two non-functional teeth), while rodents only have two. -google

Have you ever seen wild rabbits? They live in the same condition. Most people just see rabbits in pet shops that 's why they don't understand this kind of set up specially breeding.
They will lay in a warm cosy mud hole that would have things down there that they collect for nesting. Like they just lay across hard rocks lol
@@caewalker9276 all the rabbits we have here in the UK run around on grass and have warrens dug in to the soil. Watch the film Watership Down, this is how rabbits live.
Domestic rabbits are biologically not wild rabbits they are not the same species. I mean a wolf is also a canine but it is a wild animal not a domestic animal so that makes a dog and wolf different animals even being in the same classification. So no domestic rabbits should not be on dirt there fur and hind legs are biologically not the same as those of wild rabbits.

I am thinking very seriously of moving my rabbits to the ground and the first question that came to me is, what do we do about their solid waste and their health when they have no way of avoiding their urine?
