Man, of all the arcades that I played, this one is the 2nd best Arcade of Strive. -We got an older character (who debuted in the 2nd game of Guilty Gear [GGX By your side]) that knew one of the newcomers (Gio) even before Strive's events. Also we got more Johnny's backstory. -A new plot appears. What are you looking for Johnny? (Not only he monetions to Gio on the Arcade, but also on his victory quote against Faust). I think it has to do with Unchou (his master). Currently we got all the japanese characters on Strive (May, Anji and Baiken). Then, we got Kum who has been helping the Japanese colony during Xrd story and has met Johnny in the past. Now there's a character that could bring a lot of material for Johnny's past (and has very less chances to be on Strive) and even to the lore of GG. Crow Kuruwaba. Yes, the scientist of the PWAB who appeared on Accent Core and cloned Justice. What we got about him is that: -He was an apprentice of Hirofumi Unchou and Johnny thought he was trapped in a dimensional prison by his master. Crow denies that he was his apprentice, but he affirms that he knows Unchou (Johnny Story Path 1 AC). -He's the one who created the Robo-Ky series. -Anji remembers that he saw him before (Anji Story AC) and Baiken thinks of him as a disgrace to the Japanese (Baiken Story path 2 AC). -Slayer knows he was a doctor (Slayer Story path 2 AC). -Crow knows about Faust's past (Faust Story Path 1 AC). -Crow never considers his past 'heinous' (Faust Story Path 1 AC). Here's a theory. What if Crow was a collegue of Baldhead who was working for the PWAB, then we got that he was the one that hired Zato to kill Baldhead's patient under the Conclave's orders (In Faust's 3rd ending of X2 Venom mentions that was one of Baldhead's collegues who hired the Assassin of Baldhead's patient), and before Missing Link events, Unchou found out that his apprentice was using his own compatriots as experiments and ends up sealing him (being the reason that Baiken calls him a disgrace to the Japanese) and after his freedom, he got memory problems that was caused during his time on the dimensional prison, which is why he denies that his surename is Kuruwaba and he was Unchou's apprentice. Since we got many villains on GG that has selfless purposes like Happy Chaos' concerns about humanity losing his emotional part and I-No wanting a brighter future for humanity, Crow could fit as one of the villains has selfish purposes having Orochimaru and Kenjaku's vibes (Jujutsu Kaisen). If that plot about Johnny opens an arc that involves mostly his past, that would be one of the best plots that even makes me want to see Kum returning to Strive. Yeah, Accent Core has some parts that is not canon, but if the entire game is not canon, then we would have many questions like: -Why Zato and Eddie are having a good relationship if Eddie took over Zato that lead him his downfall. -Since when Faust and Zappa knew each other. Extra: May's boss fights opens the doors that any GG character can be a final boss in any arcade.
@@truegraham6780Well, it seems that his search continues, they wouldn't include these dialogues if Johnny found a cure. What Johnny is looking for could be a cure or something else that we will probably know in the future.
@@davidelin7680 Just a quick wiki look but basically May was an orphan of war and Johnny took her in when she was just a child. He's the reason why may is a funny pirate. Anywho, basically may has developed romantic feelings for johnny despite the fact that johnny is like WAY older than her and the line that she says in this dialogue hurts physically simply because it's gives off "You want to sleep with your dad???" Energy.
