IMO if he started having misfires with low mileage plugs and a variety of ignition plugs I would suspect the latter since they may not work as OE

Initially, this vehicle had no problems at all. The customer just wanted to replace the spark plugs. At the previous spark plug replacement change we replaced all 4 ignition coils "just for maintenance" with aftermarket BWD ignition coils and since then 3 out of the 4 ignition coils stopped working after a year, but not all at the same time. Then I got warranty replacements for each of the defective ones. Eventually we will end up replacing all 4 coils with new original Denso ones or just put back all of the old ones as those ones didn't have any problems. To be honest, replacing an ignition coil is not needed and just a waste of money unless it is causing a misfire or a problem.
With these types of spark plugs you will typically lose a slight amount of performance and reduced fuel consumption after around 40 to 50 k Kilometers of driving. The amount is negligible even though spark plugs can go on average 150 to 200 k Kilometers without problems and still drive relatively OK otherwise. Unless you have a performance engine or an engine with a turbocharger then replacement is critical and should be replaced a little sooner than what the manufacturer states. Some intervals for turbocharged applications I have seen every 96 k Kilometers (60 k Miles). But things will vary depending on engine and application of course.

It's a fact. I already know the full history on this vehicle because I'm the only one who works on it. But yes, replacing spark plugs earlier than what the manufacturer states is best.

It’s definitely an investment to do it early rather than having huge expenses for the lack of
