Fun fact: a public radiostation in Germany once crashed completely down when playing this particular song. For some reason, their encoding algorithm to compress the music before sending it out over satellite radio completely crashed when it had to encode this song.
@@splatertto be more precise it was written and recorded 4 months before 9/11. I am not sure if song itself was relased in 2001(due to those events). Some sources say 2003
Circ recorded the Album this song is from before the events of September 11th, 2001 but due to the events of that day the song was not publicized. As a result the album (Love Electric) did not do well. Also, Circ did not receive the recognition they could have (and perhaps should have).
Beautiful melody? lrycis and vocal. Heard it for the fiest time at Paul van Dyk - HR XXL Clubnight (01-03-2003): 06. Circ - Destroy She Said (De Donatis Mix)
There used to be a good trance/dance station here in Socal. It was KDL 103.1 The New Party Station with Tony B!!!!! This station when I was like 12 Hooked me up to my love for the electronica genre music. From there I learned of all sorts of artists like PVD, AVB, ATB, DJ Tiesto, 4 Strings, Jose Amnesia, Sasha, Karen Overton, Cosmic Gate, Oceanlab, and so forth!!! Too bad "Entravision or Intravision" sold out :(.
I said the same thing! 2001 I think this song came out and I hadn't heard it before now. I've since bought the album 'Love Electric' from itunes and burned it to disc. Love it.
This is a weird song, but so catchy, and the video is well made. There's a melancholic feel. Thank god they added the dancing sailors:)). Her voice is cute but also depressing.
Grady Bledsoe Nope. More like 2002. I remember this well. It was written in 2001, but the reference to towers falling down, and then 9/11 happening meant that its release was delayed.
Finally I found this song after 20 years, thanks to google song searching, seriously the melody was on my memory and I was getting so crazy even waking up humming it several days along the years, and today was the same woke up with the song and got obsessed again.. I was like come on is 2024 there should be an app or some technology, nothing worked but google song searching was like the savior! I don’t know how to describe this feeling like now I can die happy 😂 anyway 2024 January 31 is the day that I found again this amazing song and is on my favorite playlist now and forever ❤
I love this song.. 1st heard it while watching a car related vid on here. I immediately went and downloaded the whole album, pretty good but this is the standout track..
Actually she is American and lives in NY, so is the producer. Not sure why it was released on a German label, something to do with it being a sister label of a bigger American one.
VERY strange story behind this song. It was recorded in lower Manhattan 4 months before the 9-11 attack. Destroy She Said - and she mentions towers. WEIRD!
Why are many of you hating on vmizzell, he does speak some truth on the type of music that is promoted in the states. I am from Cali and you don't here half the songs in my favorites. I wish there was a station that simply played music like Oceanlab, Kreo, Circ, Lasgo, etc. etc. More often than not you get stations that only play Top 40 and some classic rock, 80's, and slow jams. I heard Wild 94.9 in Nor Cal use to play that type of music but now its top 40 when I last went to San Fran.
Oh man, last listened to this back in 2010.... To be 17 and in high school again .
Are you here
the lyrics make me sad to,but this song brings so many memorys back from the good old days so i love it
Still loving this in 2020!! Covid19 sucks, this song is awesome!
still loving this in 2023 and might never stop loving it
Underrated song indeed, as some have mentioned. I'm glad it appears to have a small cult following though :-)
Great song....and wow is she pretty.
Fun fact: a public radiostation in Germany once crashed completely down when playing this particular song. For some reason, their encoding algorithm to compress the music before sending it out over satellite radio completely crashed when it had to encode this song.
Another fun fact. This song was released months before the 9/11 attack and part of the lyrics mention "towers falling down".

Just a great song! Still owe my Maxi!! Be blessed in 2023! ❤️
Some of the lyrical imagery is an unfortunate coincidence, but this song is so beautiful, it's still one of my favorites.
ahead of her time
omg sooooooo true
I wish circ continued

I was so fucking high when I came upon this video those many years ago... Good times.
Oh my, I can't stop singing this song, it's so beautiful ;)
That's Alexander Perls (009 Sound System)
Yes, they two were Circ. The singer is called Madelin Lane. That album had good songs.
@@eloyreveronrizzo4800 she goes now by Madelin Zero
Just now finding this song and it's Awesome!
damn this was the first thing i had ever seen on a computer. it was in 2005, and I was 2 years old at the time. now i'm 21.
The whole album is perfection.
Sad it was a one and done
One of my very own Favorites!
Great Title!
Alexander Perls can write and produce so well.
HypnoticSuggestion Yes :) I like him.

why radio stations in the usa don't play this kind of music I dunno

Very good song. And uploaded in 2008, wow.
Ikr! Literally a year after I was born it’s crazy 💀
Ty🍨
I think this group is no longer around, which is a pity. They really deserved more recognition.
they would've done much better in the modern era
0:36 so THAT'S where xxxtentacion got his inspiration from in 'Look at Me'.

2008 huh? i never heard it before. I like it. Good advice too.

Circ one of the most obscure EDM duo artist
That was the best dancing ive ever seen. XD
This was the soundtrack of my teens! I always had Circ playing in the background while going hard in my mmorpg game. Memories ❤
Still love this. Rembering a little club in NY she played

I LOVE THIS SONG!
I LOVE this SONG so MUCHH
I think I found this song when adding music to a video and I turned out really liking it, it’s kind of sad but at the same time energetic
My 3 year old niece's fav song. Funny the way she dances.
It was actually released in 2002, "Close your eyes" was in 2003 and "Love Electric" was in 2004... Sorry to ruin your theory ;D
Stil listening in 2024!
Hell yeah
exactly even, reference letters is nothing more than pure coincidence

Love this song. Still can't get over how much she looks like Marissa Mayer (ex CEO of Yahoo).
true, Alexander Perls is New Yorker, Madeline Lane, the singer, was born in Florida.
Great song!

Pretty voice
I love how this song sounds cute but it has violent lyrics
I would have been a great video with all the references to Salvatore Dali, if they left out the "dancing sailor sequence"
Wonderful.

Dude what has this band been up to. I love this music soooooooooooo much.
So this band has nothing to do with Francois Rousseau's CIRC? I'm surprised there were no arguments over the use of the name
the writer of this song actually wrote this 400 meters away from the towers. but it was an accident that he wrote about towers at that time.

I heard this song years ago and was a big fan and this is my first time seeing her and WOW.. fuck

It's not Minecraft. It's a Salvador Dali's famous picture tribute.

OH, REALLY HOW OLD IS THIS SONG, COZ I CAN'T BELIEVE HOW NICE IT IS
I had a postcard of Salvador Dali's "The Last Supper" on my wall.
It'll be fun, she said
Is it in the bit about "Lot"? I have been searching for she said destroy and Quran but I can't find anything specific.
hahahh xD agreed !

One word... Pandora. That is how I found a shit load of music like this. I LOVE it.
Yeah, Saturday nights, if I were to go to, say the UK or Germany I could find a station that plays Techno,Electronica, trance ect, all day long.
