I was a teenager in the 80s when I first heard this song. I would make tapes simply recording from the radio. I'm a native washingtonian born and bred so anybody who knows DC knew about MELVIN'S MELODIES and the QUIET STORM. One night I was recording a song and I heard this afterwards; I listened to it and kept it on the tape because it sounded beautiful. And it sounds just as beautiful today. I wish artist would zero in on music like this, realize what an irreplaceable vibe it is & at least try to evolve the quality of music today to this level.

Loved this song since i heard it on WGCI Chicago's Quiet Storm show back in like '91 or '92. Wrote down the chorus to remember the song's name and never heard it again. Never knew who sang it or anything...UNTIL NOW!!!! Great song, reminds me of "Funny How Time Flies" by Janet Jackson. Doesn't sound exactly like it, but it reminds me of it

You are right, I think the first time I heard this cut was in D.C.. Since then, it has been a steady on my list of the greatest slow jamz of all time. The flavor is similar to Genobia Jeter's 'All of My Love." My spirit aches for passionate slow jamz steeped in the soul of black folks. Keep Bangin!

I've loved this song since I was 19 years old when I first heard it at a friends's graduation party and I slow danced with the prettiest young lady there. Years later this song serves as a reminder for me not to get so caught up in work that I become emotionally distant. "Quality Time" is so important!
